Good call. As mentioned It is a Rugby League forum and Johnson gave a good account of himself. The left field nonsense is best addressed in its respective forum.

Correct. He was asked to respond to the breaking news and developments of the NRL during Covid duress. To lump all these other issues on him is absurd. As a Rugby League forum it would be best to stick to the topic.

As a forever Sharks fan I've got nothing but praise for how Shaun has handled his time at the club. He's one of the classiest guys to ever put on the jumper. It's a shame if the Morris sacking and his loyalty to Bomber and a few things he said soured his relationship with the board. Pity he didn't stay healthy for the finals last season. Hopefully we can get him a couple of finals wins this year.

Yet another "Guest" with a dump and run attitude. Unbelievable...

There was nothing wrong with his attitude… there’s always someone worse off…

I appreciate he was on the spot, but he needs to get a dose of perspective. Maybe he might wish to talk to the partners and children of soldiers who went to Afghanistan for months on end. Or maybe talk to the partners and children of those in FIFO work. Or maybe talk to the partners and children of those in shipping. Or talk to the hundreds of thousands of workers and helpers in Singapore where I am, who spend years away from their families earning meagre wages simply to give their children back home a better shout at life. He's on $800k a year and he's being asked to spend a couple of months on the road. Jeez. He gets to keep his job, earn spectacularly good money, and keep his family supported. It's not that bad.

Hard not to love this guy. Think the Sharks are making a big mistake by letting him go.

PS - it also shows the attitude of players like the Bulldogs five, Dragons 12 and Jai Arrow for what it is…

Yeah, it was an interesting interview, particularly as SJ was put on the spot It’s easy to say “let’s move the comp to Queensland” quickly but it’s interesting to hear that perspective from a player about the impact on their family It is a tough situation for them and we are lucky to have sport going

Stellar attitude shown by Shaun Johnson. The Covid situation has escalated and the NRL have acted accordingly. We are fortunate to have sport and in particular Rugby League to watch and enjoy and I am grateful for the sacrifices of the athletes and their respective clubs.
