Melbourne Rebels coach Dave Wessels has announced he is stepping down from the top job effective immediately.
The outgoing coach delivered a farewell message to Rebels supporters on the club’s Twitter page.
“It’s been an amazing experience,” Wessels said.
“I’m really grateful for all the opportunity that everyone has given me.”
Wessels was appointed head coach at the beginning of the 2018 Super Rugby season, in which he led the Rebels to a club record number of wins.

Yes agree Rhys Classy exit and everyone knew he had to go. Likely he'll learn greatly from this failure and become a much better coach in future. Attack is where he really needs to improve imo
