Every tournament we see rubbish calls on cards. The most laughable was when Ioane, the bigger, was yellow carded. He was so bewildered he thought there had been a mistaken identity. These young men who will be playing at RWC 2023 deserve better. Can't wait for an Oz v NZ final.

I'm guessing they have to be. The guy knew as soon as ge did it he was done. Doesn't help that its a beanpole trying to tackle a guy a foot shorter. Rory Arnold has had the same issue many times. You just gotta get lower if you plan on a big hit.

Thought it looked like a yellow as well. Wondered if they are generally harsher on high shots at youth level?

Thought it was harsh ... seemed to connect with the shoulder first .. yellow was sufficient. Playing 60 mins with 14 was a big ask.
