Adelaide United welcome Perth Glory to Coopers Stadium in Round 22 of the 2018-19 A-League season. Join The Roar for live scores and coverage from 7:50pm (AEDT).

Tonight’s match brings a month of travelling to an end for Perth Glory, who return west to face Melbourne Victory in two weeks time.

Successive away draws for Perth is far from a disaster, but they have seen their lead at the top cut to six points by Sydney FC.

The Premie’rs Plate will not be decided this month and a home win tonight would give the Sky Blues extra incentive going into their clash with Melbourne City on Sunday.

Adelaide United have been one of the few teams to take anything from Perth Glory this season – a scrappy point back in January.

That goalless draw occurred during a five-game unbeaten run which helped propel the Reds into the top six. A position they are currently in danger of slipping out of.

It’s the goals that have dried up for Marco Kurz’s men, so they will need to be at their very best defensively in this game.

Perth Glory did record a win here in November, scoring two late goals to steal the points. A microcosm of their season.

Prediction
Both squads have a fortnight’s ‘r&r’ after this match (excluding players on International duty), meaning both sides can leave it all out on the pitch. There is plenty at stake too. Oh, and late drama is more than likely. Get the popcorn ready.

Adelaide United 2-3 Perth Glory

You'll win the Premiership. But, you'll choke in the Championship. That's what Popovic is famous for (3 Grand Finals, 3 losses) & that's what Perth Glory is famous for - even in the NSL .. 3 nil up at HT & Perth Glory f**ked it up.

I've found it quite funny when Wanderers try to claim credit for the Glory's success.

Adelaide United were undone by two poor goals from their perspective. Diego Castro was afforded too much space in the penalty box, before his shot deflected into the net. The second goal was a mistake by Isaias who presented the ball to Andy Keogh, who raced clear and finished unerringly. Goalkeeper Paul Izzo was excellent in goal for the Reds but going forward Marco Kurz's men are seriously lacking in quality. That's no goals in three straight games for Adelaide now. Perth go nine points clear at the top, with Sydney FC in action on Sunday. Adelaide travel to Central Coast Mariners in Round 23. Glory go up against Melbourne Victory in two weeks time. That's it from Coopers Stadium. Enjoy your weekend A-League fans!

Love this club. Win in 2 weeks and we've got it. If we win the Premiers Plate (Looking likely) than one thing that is certain is that Buddy, Josh and all other WSW fans will claim we couldn't of won the league without them because...... They "Started Popovic's managerial career and "Restarted Ikonomidis' career".

90 +1' SO CLOSE! Goodwin thought he had his 10th goal of the season but Reddy gets down brilliantly to stop the header. Adelaide United 0 - 2 Perth Glory

90' WOW! Incredible save from Paul Izzo! Ikonomidis tears away down the right wing and centres the ball for Keogh to tap in his second goal. But no, Izzo spreads himself superbly and thwarts the Dubliner.

89' Can the Reds give the home supporters something to start the weekend with? A goal would be nice. Final minute of the 90.

85' Boland has had a tough night for Adelaide as he hits another cross into the first Glory defender. The fire looks to have gone out for the Reds now. Adelaide United 0 - 2 Perth Glory

80' It was a masterstroke from Glory boss Popovic to bring Keogh on when he did. Within minutes it was 0 - 2 and the contest seems over. He may send his son, Christian, on for the final few minutes. Adelaide United 0 - 2 Perth Glory

78' I'm not sure that short corners are the answer for Adelaide. The Reds need to get the ball in the box. Frustrating for the home fans. You get the feeling that Adelaide could play until tomorrow and still not score. Adelaide United 0 - 2 Perth Glory
