The A-League season wraps up for the Perth Glory when they travel east to battle the last-placed Newcastle Jets. Check out our live scores page here on The Roar from 7:10pm (AEST).
The Glory’s 2-1 loss to the Brisbane Roar on Wednesday snuffed out any lingering hope of forcing their way into the finals. It has been an inconsistent season for Richard Garcia’s men in his first season at the helm, but they can at least salvage some pride from the wreckage and ensure an even 10-10 win-loss record for the season with victory here.
The Jets’ season has been an unmitigated disaster. Sitting last even with their upset 2-0 win over the Mariners in their last match, it seems another wooden spoon is theirs for the taking. However, they showed plenty of guts in stunning the Mariners, and would dearly love a second straight surprise win.
Kick-off time: 7:10pm (AEST)
Venue: McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle
TV: Fox Sports 5 (505)
Live stream: Kayo Sports, Foxtel Now, Foxtel Go, MyFootball Live app
Betting: Jets $2.78, Glory $2.28, draw $3.60 (odds via PlayUp)
Winter A League is Awesome

This should be a wake up call for Victory and WU. Victory has stayed still while the entire league has passed them. They still dont have their own Training Facilities. WU need younger guys that are higher quality.

It we’re purely going on form, based on the last five games, the bottom of the A-League table would resemble this: 7- Wellington 8- Perth 9- Newcastle 10-Western Sydney 11- Melbourne Victory 12- Western United

City should play their NPL side against the Jets if it goes ahead. See how big the difference in competition when it's winter v winter instead of summer v winter in the FFA Cup.

Going to be interesting off-season for clubs like Newcastle and Perth won't have much time to make squad changes I guess that's the same for everyone if new season kicks off in October
