Looking to go on a run, Wellington Phoenix face a test against a Macarthur FC side also striving for consistency. Stay up to date with their A-League clash with live scores on The Roar from 4:05pm (AEDT).
Wellington catapulted several places up the A-League ladder midweek with a comprehensive 4-1 win over the hapless Victory on Wednesday night. With four points from their last two matches, the Phoenix are still within striking distance of the top six if they can claim more points tonight.
Macarthur FC, the A-League’s newest side, got themselves back on the winner’s list after a rough run of matches – defeating Western United 2-1 in the expansion derby. The Bulls sit fifth on the ladder, but need a win to keep the sides beneath them at bay.

This years football in terms of quality have been great from all teams except from the jets, Bris and the Bulls. The rest of the teams play a really nice brand of football. The only time one of the teams other than the afore mentioned are playing better are when one of them is in form. I.e Adelaide shit and out of form at the start of the season. Then hit some form and kept rolling same with City. The opposite with the Bulls and CCM. However it’ll switch bake soon just give it time.

Wellington a little unlucky in this match top 6 still achievable. Workman-like performance from the Bulls who didn't have many openings

I think after that game we are just not a top 6 side, Hemed was a letdown once again and the Bulls got lucky with the rebound save of Sail.

I still stand by my initial pre season prediction of them to finish outside the 6. There are no goals in that team and they have played only 45 mins of total domination in a match (against us funnily enough). I don't think they are a bad team, just awful to watch in terms of how they're coached. They've barely travelled interstate as well

With all due respect Andy, mighty MacArthur have really proved a lot of people wrong this season. They are at the top half of the table for a very good reason.
