Best wishes, Wallabies - from the Kiwis

By Michael Warren / Roar Guru

Good luck tonight, Aussies. As your Kiwi mates, especially after you lost to us, we won’t let you get it wrong again. We’ve got some tips.

Here are 10 tips to help the Wallabies win against Wales tonight:

1. Beware of Wayne Barnes; he is apt to not seeing forward passes.
2. The Kiwi nation is cheering you as ANZACs. We play to win against you but are blood brothers when others do.
3. Quade, apologise for past misdemeanours, lift the head and play your natural game. We don’t hate you, only arrogance and cheap shots. They will cheer your every move otherwise.
4. Run, run, run the ball for eighty minutes; don’t kick the bloody thing.
5. Believe in and follow Nathan’s leadership and give Sharpey his century to remember.
6. Keep onside to prevent opposition opportunity goal kicks.
7. Play as a team of talented individuals not as individuals that have talent.
8. Believe in Robbie and his game plan, he really is cut up that you have not made it this time.
9. David Pocock, stay on your feet, stay focused and scavenge. You are so good when you do.
10. Temper the win exuberance and be gracious and humble in winning.

To our ANZAC cousins, best wishes and support from four million Kiwis. We are rootin’ for yer!

What a lot of crap. I have wished the Wallabies well in there dual for third place. The problem with you Aussies is that you are bad losers, and that is coming from my Aussie workmates. And talk about BOOING. I was at the last game Wallabies vs England that was played here in Perth. When J.Wilkinson entered the arena, the booing every time he touched the ball was unreal. Crusaders vs western Force. When King Richie touched the ball he was booed by the crowed. And yes I was cheering for the Wallabies. My super 15 teams are the Crusaders and the Western Force. AB supporter.

CraigB, You are misinformed or outright wrong. I have the game recorded on my PC and I can't see or hear anyone cheering Cooper's departure from the field. It's Channel Nine's feed from the game. Do you want me to send you the link to the torrent? He's booed as he runs into contact, then there's an 'ooh' sound as he doesn't get up, and he's applauded from the field (ie hands clapping, not 'YAY'. No cheering. George Gregan, at the match, explicitly mentions that he's glad the crowd gave Cooper due respect as he was carried off.

Sage---I cheered my heart out for the Irish too---but for purely pragmatic reasons.I wanted an Oz-Bok game so one of our two main rivals would disappear without us needing to fire a shot. So really....it was indirect flattery,if you will. Regarding QC......the campaign against him seemed quite spontaneous and was incredibly widespread.Children at my daughter's High School were all discussing QC and the anti-wallaby thing spread like wildfire. If we wound the clock back 6 months or so I don't think it existed. As a social phenomenon it was pretty interesting. From the unpunished 'knee in the head' thru Deans saying he was happy with QC's behaviour and his team's public support...the fans' ridiculing kiwis for being "precious" about "St. Richie" meandering through the Tournament..the statements from Cooper saying he was "enjoying " the attention and his self-proclaimed "public enemy #1" status...his tweets stating he was "stronger" for it and not fazed thru to the ultimate and evident dismantling of his self-confidence and on-field form. With hindsight I would say that Cooper was let down by those around him;his advisors, his coaches and his team-mates.He was also let down by a judicial panel that deemed his knee connecting a couple of times with another player's head was "accidental".The guy is a talent, and he is only 23.He is going to have some time to think about all this during his rehab.Perhaps some good will come out of that injury.

Hey Craig......why do you use the apostrophe in the word kiwis?? Tip...if you want to insult somebody and not look a complete moron whilst doing so.....get your grammar right. One kiwi, two kiwi, many kiwi if you refer to the feathered variety.See sheep. One kiwi (person),two kiwis (people)...it's not Rocket Science Craig.

miker is clearly in the minority - how about the booing/whistling/thumping of seats every time oz lined up a shot at goal. the protests that it is just a few kiwis hating on oz seem a little hollow

I must disagree Republican, I have found Australia more like NZ (culturally, environmentally quite different) than any country I have been to. I had a strange sensation the first time I went to Australia, it felt like I hadn't actually gone anywhere, it could have been a hot day in Auckland. In contrast travelling to London and the west coast of the US I found far more unfamiliar (never mind south-east asia and africa).

Well done PomKiwi ....... Do not bother arguing your original point about kiwis behavior at the WC, I am glad finally you have admitted by making no point at all in your last post that you have no idea what the WC was like...... at best you are another wasted Australian visa .....your clearly the poster child of a stronger boarder policy

Thata boy !!!! You did lie but do not let the truth get in the way of that...but really who cares where you are from...I know where you did not go and that is to the WC...and that is the point here....your comments about kiwis supporters at this WC is not based on facts....because you were never there........so hush honey...and enjoy living in our country...because does not matter how long you have allegedly lived here your only another whinging visitor

You are a sad one aren't you? If you think I would bother to lie about my country of birth on an anonymous forum you can only be judging others by your own standards.

As I said in my earlier post, my impression whilst WATCHING was that the crowd was applauding him. Views expressed in the other article to which I referred, and elsewhere in the press this morning, confirm that. Why not just admit that you were wrong?

It is a new day...so I am guessing AussieKiwi... You are what today ? Your first posting were a kiwi, then later a pom....lol ..regardless it is interesting how strong you are to defend kiwis behavior at the WC...when you never went.... As I was there...I will not forget the hostility ...is a laugh you say how Cooper was treated for 30 seconds by the crowd last night...I witnessed only last Sunday 80 mins of boos, swearing, threats to him, booing another nation national anthem ......for the record I go to many rugby games here..and NEVER herd Aussies boo someone else anthem......was disgusting ......so do not bother trying to give us a spin that kiwis all of a sudden are a nice lot....they are as I posted earlier suffering from small brother syndrome with Australia.......have a good day BokPom KiwiPom whatever you may be today
