Mundine vs Geale II: Fight result

Dan I think you're giving him way too much credit by even using his name and genius in the same sentence.. he talks that way because he is not real smart.

Good on Geale 110% more class than mundine! Mundines main problem is his mouth and severly under educated mind! I cringe and almost feel embarrassed any time I here him speak. It was so good to watch him lose. He must be the only Aussie sporting star that Aussies don't go fanaticaly crazy over, we will support and follow anyone who wants to call themselves an Aussie but Anthony just makes you hate him. I think he is caught up in his own little world and doesn't even understand or realise that when he speaks its not just him speaking to his mates it is being heard by everyone out there. I just find it strange to want to see an Aussie athlete fail so much but I do. On the other hand he may be a genius who knows how to create all the publicity he needs at the right time??

Watched the fight as a neutral, have no opinion one way or the other in relation to either boxer. In the end I think the judges had it about right. I would not know who is the better boxer, the better person or the better advocate for Indigenous rights. I do feel that Geale was the better fighter on the night. Amongst all the circus that is boxing, this is the only thing that really matters.

Nova i can see why you relate to Mundine so well. You like Mundine are ignorant. Dawn Frazer never burnt our flag I suggest you read a little more about the controversy surrounding Dawn Frazer and the flag before you start stating crap. Dawn Frazer did more for this country and her sport than Mundine could ever imagine. I'm surprised he can throw a punch at all with that big a chip on his shoulder. Fact is we have every right to comment because Mundine continuously opens his mouth and rubbishes so many people, with a whole lot of BS. Fact is the bloke regardless of his mixed Aboriginal and European heritage carries on like a complete f*ckwit. He has dissed Aboriginals, Whites, condoned September 11 etc etc. Why should we not have the right to comment on him. It is a pity, because I have heard he does a lot of community work and donates a lot of things (including his own time) to the under priveleged, including "white" Australians. Unfortunately all this good work is undone because he can't keep his big mouth shut. If he had of pulled his head in years ago, he would have been a much loved respected identity. This hatred for him is of his own doing. It is quite obvious he has also been ill advised by others. They are using him as their mouthpiece. Andrew, everyone in Australia has the opportunity to make something of themselves, no matter what their race. I have had the opportunity to do a lot of travel and I know Australia is one of the most tolerable societies in the world. Anyone, including those of Aboriginal heritage, can become a doctor, there is nothing stopping them. If they want to become a politician, there is nothing stopping them. They can become teachers, lawyers, truck drivers, footballers, cricketers etc etc. Anything they want. It is not like this in so many other countries. We really are lucky to call this place home. So to sit here and accuse the likes of myself of being in denial, when I have worked f*cking hard to get where I am, is an insult. My heritage is that of convicts. My family did not choose to come out here, so why should I wear the blame for anyone who wants to use the percieved "invasion" as the reason for all their problems. It is time for the no hopers in our society (no matter what their colour, creed, culture, heritage or religion), to stop playing the blame game and to start doing something for themselves. People like Mundine do not help their culture by speaking the rubbish that they speak. All it does is add to hostililities that do not need to be there. What he needs to do is to start telling people to forget all the BS, stop blaming society for their issues, and do somethng for themselves. He can use his success as an example of what they can do. If you want to be a spokesperson for your culture, then be smart about how you do this. Geale beat Mundine. There is no question about this. Geale is a model Aboriginal Australian who has done us all proud. He is a person I respect.

i have read much of the above a lot for and a lot against Anthony , as i know both Anthony and Daniel its hard to see Anthony not congratulate Daniel as he should have , both different personalities but both great guys away from the boxing BS .Daniel won the fight fair and square their can be no argument about it , so i hope when choc calms down he can be man enough to pick up the phone and do the right thing . As for some of the things coming out of Anthonys mouth at the moment i really can't understand , he is being divisive when their is no need , i think choc needs a long holiday and needs to eat a bit of humble pie before he losses any cred he has left ...
