The Roar begins live radio commentary of Australian cricket matches today, starting with the third Test against India in Mohali. Join our live coverage this afternoon and every day for the rest of the series.
Roar Radio will deliver ball-by-ball coverage of the next two Tests, combining strong analysis with The Roar’s signature irreverent style.
Some of The Roar’s finest cricketing minds will come together on the project.
Expert columnist and broadcaster Geoff Lemon will lead a rotating panel of talent, including 21-year ABC veteran Glenn Mitchell, and fellow Roar columnists Ben Pobjie, Ryan O’Connell, Brett McKay, Cameron Rose, and Tim Renowden.
The team will be joined along the way by Fairfax and Crikey journalist Tom Cowie; writer and cricket lover Upulie Divisekara; and the man behind Twitter phenomenon Fake Nathan Hauritz.
The broadcast will be delivered online to computers and mobile devices. Simply click play on the player below, then turn up your speakers, put in your headphones, and go about your cricketing day. Hopefully we’ll be able to

Just had a go at The Age. They said they Foxtel is faulty, they are relying on those up themselves Poms on Test Match Sofa for whats going on. I told them to get on Roar. And yes that guy who was just talking about Meccano. SPEAK UP!!! We can't hear you.

Could someone put a dynamic compressor over the audio feed of the commentators. If the commentators are talking softly you can barely hear him. Glenn Mitchell is talking fairly loudly and whoever is supporting him is speaking too softly that it is inaudible

All you need to do is bang the pencil on the desk & record some crowd noise, and we've turned the clock back to the days of Alan McGilvray's synthetic broadcasts. This is great stuff by The Roar. Once again, new ways of bringing the game to the fans. And it's great to hear Glenn Mitchell's voice back on the air again.

Great work guys, only thing missing is the sound effects from the ground for atmosphere.

Loving the acid jazz music too. Its good I dont have to listen to Test Match Sofa. Those Poms taking off Australian accents and making fun of Aboriginal place names was really out of order. Wont be going there again. Nice to see Glenn Mitchell though that does bring back memories of the horror 2001 tour. Still bearing the scars from that series as I am sure anyone who watched or listened to is as well.

Loving have commentary, and the dulcet tones of Glenn Mitchell on air again. One minor gripe - seems to be lots of paying out of Ed Cowan, but he's batted better than most on this tour (which admittedly, is not saying a huge amount!)

Great initiative - thanks to the roar for setting this up.

Looks like the punishments handed out are working, but seems a bit like airing the dirty laundry in public. I suggest from this point forward they take it inhouse. Future infractions to be punished by making the guilty party/ies watch Matthew McConnaughey's Failure to Launch (eyes taped open if necessary) until contrition is achieved
