I intentionally select players in any position they have played since I want to showcase which players scored the highest in the round.

Brisbane Boy - Sigh IT IS NOT MY ANALYSIS (could call it my compilation). This is the sum of all the people who submit ratings each round , each players score averaged by the number of submsissions for that team. Force had a terrible terrible game last week. Why would they make the teams. McCalman still did, yet there was a complaint that Higgs did not ahead of him. One of the best Force players is Alby Mathewson a kiwi who is ineligible.

Chivas the ratings posted ONLY apply to players eligible to make the Wallabies. So foreign players do not get scored. I agree Thompson had a great game. I never claimed it is a valid conclusion, since all observations of form, which is what we are measuring, is subjective. Since it is subjective of course the result may be invalid or in error. The idea is to get a form roar WALLABY team, ie a form Wallaby team of as seen by roar posters. I am the final arbiter since I collate them and if I believe someone has been extrem ie Gill a 9 and Hooper a 0 when that has obviously not been the case I will exclude them or moderate them. If a rating submitted is too many standard deviations from the norm ie outliers I look at them closely.

yeh and attach highlights of the game as well ! Seriously I want people who actually watched the game and not based on a few raw stats. The trouble with stats is the reliable ones come out late and I want to submit it by Monday so it is posted Tuesday. Also important stats like ruck stats , effective ruck clearing, forced penalties and things like dominant tackles just are not available. I am not being down on you Rob, sorry if it sounds defensive of me. I suspect many people would just post the same scores based on a few raw stats.

Rant Mode On As A Queensland supporter I think a force player would have to score fifty to be considered. Nothing against you analysis Peter but seems that way in general. Also Melbourne seems to be forgotten on Rugby HQ last night the Female talking head from the SYD Morning Herald sorry forgot her name was asked about Mike Harris and his concussion and went on about how it affected Kurtley Beale. JUST ANSWER THE QUESTIONS ASKED. Rant mode off Enjoy this weekends rugby everyone

So in all it is a biased selection based on the make up of those posting. Sounds like taking a radio talk back poll and suggesting that is a valid conclusion. I know taht is not your intent, but rather just to reflect the feelings and opinions of a handful of folk who wish to post their opinions on who is good or not. The interesting thing is a conservative selection is trumped by one of the more rabid contributers every time. If I rate Hooper a zero and Gill a 9, that has got to have a bigger impact than three others giving Gill a 7 and Hooper much the same. the reverse of the Gill?Hooper thing would also be true, but as a percentage it seems to be more one way... Apart from on here, by various contriutors, where else was Gill rated MOTM. I saw it was Thomson on GR&G, but couldn't find any official results. I personally though Thomson was head and shoulders above Gill in terms of the impact, but just my view.

Sean if you read all the lists Higginbotham is in 2 of the 3 form teams. He only misses out on the 1st team because he is playing at 8 and McCalman like Higginbotham has had 2 very good games.

Paul I average the scores per player by the number submitted for that team. So it is fine to just submit scores for 1 team. It makes for greater accuracy, it does not adversely impact other teams.

The vocal minority on here will ensure Gill is the pick whenever Pocock isn't about. I'd like to contribute but I don't think I can offer fair responses across all games. I'm not giving those "people" at foxtell any of my hard earned to get 5% product and 95% rubbish at a premium cost so at best I manage to see about 2 games a week at most via "other means"

'Tah haters'...hmmm, sounds good. Is it a club? Where do we join up Pete?

it is close, the scoring reflects in general that here are more tah haters contributing which bring them down. Also some avid brumby and reds supporters bring theirs up.

Gill was great in round 2 but not sure his form has been better overall than Hooper (the only other 7 to play 2 full games).
