personally I would prefer Fardy as the defensive player. He calls lineouts. He is better in defence. He has a lot higher work rate. Is very effective at the ruck. So team up Fardy and Skelton. Timani at 6 if Palu is out. Arnold on the bench.

Simmons is the best line out caller, but he is also an excellent defender. Playing a Simmons/Skelton combo, with say Timani or Arnold on the bench, allows us to play one defensive player and one power player. Simmons also has more experience. I think two inexperienced locks might not be ideal. For mine Simmons and Skelton are both lock-ins.

Personally I don't think Simmons is a lock-in for his lineout calling anymore. With Fardy and Higgers both calling lineouts for their super teams, surely we could go for a lock with more of a power game than Simmons (ie Skelton & Arnold).

Not sure how McMahon gets the gig over Fardy. Fardy has been in pretty good form and stands out even in a winning team.

agree. Arnold and Skelton as locks, Timani at 6, higgs at 8 calling lineouts would be very interesting, Pocock would have to be at 7 though with Fardy on the bench. 4 Arnold 5 Skelton 6 Timani 7 Pocock 8 Higginbotham (lineout caller) 19 Fardy that would be very interesting and balanced.

Hello

Roar Rookie

The 2 season form teams look very interesting but if they were to play I would be worried they are short a line out jumper and basically having 2 open side flankers.
