It was only Brad Smith’s fourth appearance for Liverpool, but he grabbed the opportunity with both hands.
The young Australian saved Liverpool’s blushes against Exeter with an opportunistic goal in the 73rd minute to level the scores at 2-2.
Prior to that, Exeter had taken the lead in the FA Cup clash when Lee Holmes found the back of the net, but the Socceroo’s goal meant the honours were shared at full-time.
The two teams will now face each other again in a third-round replay.

Didn't watch this game, but great to see some Aussie talent tearing it up over there.

Didn't know that, but still if he gets a few games for LFC he'll be much better off, and with their injury list he's likely to.

He's gonna be a good player, watched the game against West Ham and he did more in the 20 mins he was on than the rest of the Liverpool players combined. Gets up and down the touchline with blistering pace and has a deadly cross, really exciting prospect. Bit of a disappointment Liverpool blocked him for the Olyroos but at the same time he's in Klopps plans which is great to see.

Left back has been a bit problematic for the Socceroos, Smith is surely a viable option.
