Footage emerges of Pearce simulating sex act with a dog

By The Roar / Editor

Mitchell Pearce’s NRL career is in tatters, with Channel Nine airing footage of the Roosters co-captain simulating a sex act with a small dog at an Australia Day house party.

In the footage, shot by a fellow party-goer, a clearly intoxicated and shirtless Pearce approaches a female and tries to kiss her. She rebukes him, saying “I’m a lesbian.”

Pearce soon responds, “I’ll f*** that dog, I don’t give a f***. I don’t have a sexuality.” He then turns his attention on the host’s Maltese terrier, picking it up and performing the act.

It’s worth noting that his pants do stay on the whole time – we’re not talking Joel Monaghan levels of dog sex-acts (isn’t it great we’ve got a point of reference for this?).

More Mitchell Pearce:
» Roosters stand down disgraced captain Mitchell Pearce
» Sack or suspension: Lewd act to cost Mitchell Pearce dearly
» ‘The vast majority went home, Mitchell should have done the same thing’: Sterlo
» Coverage as the story broke
» Geyer says Pearce “needs to be suspended for 12 months”

At this point the host of the party intervenes, saying, “No, that’s my dog. Woah woah woah. No. No, no, off limits,” before taking the dog away from Pearce.

“Did you just pee?” she asks (Mitch, not the dog), before saying, “Stop. Please. No… Get out. Out. Out.

“Last straw. Out.”

Mitch’s adroit, reasonable and suave response?

“I wanna f*** a dog, I don’t even care anymore.”

“I care. You’ve peed on my couch, you’ve peed on yourself,” the party host replies. “Get the f*** out.”

The Roosters have released a short statement tonight, which reads as follows:

“The Sydney Roosters are aware of an incident involving Mitchell Pearce.

“The club has advised the NRL’s Integrity Unit.

“The club will conduct an internal investigation and will be making no further comment at this time.”

While it’s too early to guess what the outcome of the Roosters and NRL’s investigations will be, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Pearce’s contract torn up, given he has been in trouble on the booze before.

In 2014 the Roosters fined their halfback $20,000 after a night out in Kings Cross saw him arrested after being rebuked by a woman in a yellow dress.

I don't understand your point Kurt. Gallen's Origin punch up had newspapers rushing to highlight the dangers to the game of both sponsors and schools abandoning it. Pearce's behaviour again has certain journalists eager to intimate that sponsors wouldn't wish to be associated with such a "culture." How come then that the "culture" we saw in the AFL with the ritualised abuse of a renowned Indigenous Australian by thousands of fans at sundry locations didn't see journalists and newspapers questioning as to whether sponsors might no longer wish to be associated with such a sport?

How do you know? The thing is no one wants to film those union players because no one knows who they are.... The culture could very well be exactly the same but they just don't carry the profile of league players.

Nerval, I don't really understand your point. Are you suggesting that the fans who booed Goodes had sponsors? Or are you suggesting that The Sponsors should have left the Swans because of Goodes? Or are you suggesting the Sponsors should have left the Swans because of the Swan's supporters actions? I am aware that some items become hot topics and others seem to merely cause a ripple, but because some inglorious acts from players may not receive the outcome they deserve, that does not admonish the behavior of Pearce from being treated with the severity it deserves.

"A" not "the". An origin starter is without doubt a top pro league player.

it was full of homophobic/sexist/racist slurs by both Pearce and the female. Private thoughts made public. How embarrassing.
