Tickets to go on sale soon for 2016 Wallabies fixtures

By The Roar / Editor

Australian rugby fans will be able to secure their tickets to the historic three-Test series against England as early as next month.

It will be the first time the Wallabies have hosted a three-Test series for the Cook Cup, and the Australian side will be seeking revenge with England the current trophy holders.

However, England also has its own demons to slay after a devastating 13-33 loss during the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

The series will be played in June with matches in Brisbane (June 11), Melbourne (June 18) and Sydney (June 25).

Wallaby members will be able to purchase tickets on March 8, Super Rugby members on April 4 with the remaining games to go on sale to the general public by April 27.

The anticipation for this series is sure to be magnified as it will be the first time rival coaches and ex-team mates Michael Cheika and Coach Eddie Jones will go head to head from the sidelines.

Following the England series the Wallabies will look to defend their Rugby Championship title.

Tickets to those games will go on sale between May (Wallabies members) and mid-July.

“Fans can expect some incredible Rugby from these matches. On paper it is arguably one of our biggest years of Rugby on home soil,” ARU Chief Operating Officer Rob Clarke said.

“We are delighted to be hosting such world-class teams in some of Australia’s best venues.”

Even the ticketing is elitist. ARU mates first then the lowly public last and then just rip them off and say if you can't afford it tough titties we are the ARU .

Looking after loyal fans, and encouraging people to become members to get first dibs? Um yeah. Go pay the bog standard GA partial season pass for tahs and you'll get in the queue ahead of the public. In fact, if you haven't accidentally wandered onto some Rugby Community mailing list due to buying a ticket at some time in the last 10 years, and thus get early offers, you aren't trying.

Already bought mine last year for the Broken Down Chariot Tour in the early option, giving ARU some interest free money until they have to issue them.
