The one round you can't afford to miss in the 2017 NRL season

By The Roar / Editor

If you’re a diehard rugby league supporter every round is a must-see, but let’s face it, some rounds are better than others.

With the release of the 2017 NRL draw, we’ve had a close look at what looms as the best round of the season.

» Complete and comprehensive 2017 NRL Draw

It’s important to remember that with any draw it’s hard to predict how good games will be deep into the season.

It’s easier to predict what will be good games early on and in that sense round two looks to be an absolute cracker.

It starts on Thursday night with traditional rivals the Roosters and Bulldogs at Allianz Stadium.

Friday night sees two games between the Warriors and Storm in New Zealand followed by the best fixture in the last few years between the Broncos and Cowboys at Suncorp Stadium.

Saturday’s three games include the Knights against Titans, Sea Eagles against Rabbitohs and Raiders at home to the Sharks.

The round concludes on Sunday with more two more fierce rivalries between the Tigers and Panthers and Dragons against the Eels.

The Grand Final rematch between the Sharks and Storm takes place in Round 6.

calling round two the potential round of the year is a bit far fetched, but i can see your point, Broncos V Cowboys round 4 last year was as good if not better than the 2015 gf and at the start of the year injuires and suspensions dont really come into play. But there is a round of games after round two....
