One of the few articles I have seen on The Roar about WSR. But The Roar is east coast based, so not surprising. Interesting moves afoot (pun intended) in rugby. Saffa's looking at more teams in Pro 14 after 2020. Bound to happen for so many reasons. Useless east coast Aussie teams playing NZ teams and being flogged week after week not so appealing to TV broad casters. Twiigy's WSR gaing more momentum.....Adam Coleman and rest of the Force crew will be back sooner than we think. Interesting times in rugby. Not so many east coast comments on here though.....they wouldn't want us west coasters to fail would they????? Maybe we need a west coast version of The Roar as well?

It's funny that you say this. In my experience, With the exception of TJ Perinara's Oscar winning performance last year, Perth Rugby crowds are normally respectful and supportive of the opposition players. We don't really need to be told. The reminder is good though. Thanks in advance to our Westo-Tongan community for their efforts. I'm not a Rugby officianado, but I've been watching a few games with a mate who is. Talking of experimental rules in this comp, I reckon there's a few they could try to broaden the appeal of the sport. 1. Change the scoring so a try is worth 6 points and a conversion 1. The overall score is the same, but you get more value for the effort of the try. It should encourage more teams to go for the try instead of taking a penalty or trying a drop goal. 2. Pack the scrum in a different order. Get the two opposing front rows in first, then the two second rows etc. This should speed up the scrum and also lessen the chance of it collapsing or wheeling before the ball goes in.

Yes we've already ascertained that Optus is available and that around 30,000 are needed to make it a viable proposition. Anything beyond that is cream. It also provides a further opportunity to test the rectangular configuration of the stadium. You are also correct that VenuesWest owns both stadiums so don't have a problem with using the otherwise empty bigger stadium if enough tickets can be sold as they'd make more money.

Sorry, I am still a little bitter, Billy Meakes, Mat Phillip and Rona were in the squad all year, played no games in gold, yet with the exception of the Bokke game in Perth were unavailable for the Spirit. As crowds contract in East Coast Rugby contingency plans are under way in Perth to possibly move the Crusaders game to the new 65,000 seat Optus Stadium as nib might be too small.

If it does he gives a strong endorsement for the competition and Aunty Raelene may not be happy as she sees the Force as a parthway to Superugby teams. Force supporters still does not get the respect we deserve from RA and takes exception that our hard work to invest in the Future Force and local rugby will be undo in an annual raid of our locally developed players to crop up the failing Aussie franchises.
