Eels sign Campbell-Gillard

By News / Wire

Reagan Campbell-Gillard will don the blue and gold of Parramatta from next season after securing an exit from Penrith to sign a five-year deal.

Parramatta have announced the signing of Reagan Campbell-Gillard from Penrith, with the former Kangaroos prop moving to the Eels on a five-year deal starting next season.

“We’re continuing to build our roster and the addition of Reagan, a representative forward, is a great fit for our team,” said Eels general manager of football Mark O’Neill.

The Panthers agreed to release the 26-year-old former NSW forward after an approach by their Western Sydney rivals.

“Earlier this year Parramatta approached our club to express an interest in acquiring Reagan’s services,” Panthers general manager of rugby league Matt Cameron said.

“After lengthy discussions between Panthers, Reagan’s management and Reagan himself, a mutually agreed position was reached.”

And I believe Penrith will be contributing a part of his salary. Why bother signing these contracts?
