Jared Waerea-Hargreaves banned for Sydney Roosters' preliminary final

By Scott Bailey / Wire

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves will miss the Sydney Roosters’ preliminary final after being found guilty of a trip at the NRL judiciary.

Waerea-Hargreaves fronted the NRL judiciary for the fourth time this year on Tuesday, arguing he was not reckless in his contact with South Sydney centre James Roberts.

But the three-man panel took just seven minutes to disagree, suspending him for one match over the incident.

WHY wasn't JWH suspended last week then for opening a cut on Liam Knight's forehead with a swinging arm? WHY also in the same week would Cordner and Tetevano avoid being charged by the MRC yet Sam is the first player in the game's 111 year long history to be suspended for tugging hair? Did JWH get suspended for that headbutt on Ben T'eo in the 2014 preliminary final? Remind me.

Like I posted into the void earlier Enos. I have my own business and work for myself and in between your visits to Centrelink you probably work for someone like me.

Here we go again lol , list me where in the last 5 years Cameron ,nelson an Tui have cowardly knocked someone out with a swinging arm to the head, or eye gouged some one , or squirrel grabbed some one in the nuts like pedo , those are things Souths an the Burgess brothers have done in the last 5 years , oh hang on Cameron Smith allegedly rubbed the back of a players ear roughly with the back of his top ???????? , so knocking someone out potential long term damage , blinding someone or sexually assaulting someone on the field, but you have this outrage at Caneron rubbing a guys ear for 2 seconds ???????? , Souths based on 2019 records are the grubbiest club Storm actually aren't, that's based on facts not the biased Roar blind hatred or Fox with their nsw agendas , Slowing down the ball Storm are one of the least guilty based on Nrl stats but on here facts matter little , how bout clean up your grubby club , the dealers on the coast have lost so much money since Robert's went back to souths.

A “mini-meltdown” at best Adam. At least Souths rallied to win the second half whereas the Broncos got buried by an avalanche!

Pulling hair is as ridiculous and unnecessary as eye gouging. The last time I say both together was when two girls were fighting at school.

Ok, how it works is this: The MRC determines the charge and grading Each charge and grading has a number of points associated with it 100 points = 1 week suspension If a player gets say 250 points, they miss two weeks and have 50 carry over points Carry over points are added to the charge A charge that has 75 points and would normally escape suspension becomes one week for the player above that has 50 carry over points A loading is applied if the player has recent similar prior offences A player can claim a 25% deduction if they accept an early guilty plea So, if a player gets 100 points has no carry overs or loading, he can accept an early guilty plea take the 75 points and not miss a week If he chooses to fight the charge and loses he gets 100 points and a one game ban At no stage are points or weeks added on for fighting a charge

So I read that Sam Burgess pulled Smiths hair to square up for the face time incident last year! So he is playing a contact sport against someone 20kgs lighter than himself and he gets square by pulling his hair!! Maybe he should have given him a Chinese burn or a good old fashioned nipple grip as well.

It's all a conspiracy. That's the best part of buying into conspiracies. It's fantastic fun because you can change your mind as often as you like to make the narrative fit

Always happy to oblige mate. I'll wait until the Rabbitohs win their 22nd premiership in a couple of weeks to find my "laughing place". ;-)

A good example of another ridiculous inconsistency in the system perpetrated against a player with a hitherto clean record. Had he played for either the Storm or the Roosters he wouldn't have even been charged.
