Ok, how it works is this: The MRC determines the charge and grading Each charge and grading has a number of points associated with it 100 points = 1 week suspension If a player gets say 250 points, they miss two weeks and have 50 carry over points Carry over points are added to the charge A charge that has 75 points and would normally escape suspension becomes one week for the player above that has 50 carry over points A loading is applied if the player has recent similar prior offences A player can claim a 25% deduction if they accept an early guilty plea So, if a player gets 100 points has no carry overs or loading, he can accept an early guilty plea take the 75 points and not miss a week If he chooses to fight the charge and loses he gets 100 points and a one game ban At no stage are points or weeks added on for fighting a charge

A good example of another ridiculous inconsistency in the system perpetrated against a player with a hitherto clean record. Had he played for either the Storm or the Roosters he wouldn't have even been charged.
