The AFL has released the full Round 16 fixture, with plenty of changes forced by Sydney’s latest COVID-19 outbreak.
For the first time in VFL/AFL history, a match will be played at GMHBA Stadium not featuring Geelong, when the Sydney Swans travel south to host the West Coast Eagles.
It’s a bizarre case of switching hoodoos for the Eagles, who haven’t beaten the Swans at the SCG since 1999 – but also haven’t won in Geelong since beating the Cats by three points back in 2006.
Elsewhere, the Gold Coast Suns have a rare entry into prime-time, taking on reigning premiers Richmond on Thursday night
