Round 15 concludes as the Carlton Blues battle the Adelaide Crows with coach David Teague under mounting pressure to keep his job. Follow along with all the action from Marvel Stadium with live scores right here on The Roar from 4:10pm (AEST).

Things are beginning to get desperate for Teague and the Blues. Just four wins for the season, with all nine of their losses by between 16 and 36 points, has left them floundering far too close to the bottom of the ladder for a side tipped to make great strides in 2021. With the Blues’ game plan coming in for a barrage of criticism – almost as much as what’s been directed at high profile recruit Zac Williams – the last week has been yet another troubling one for the club.

Coming in off a 36-point loss to another finals hopeful in GWS, the Blues’ finals hopes are already all but snuffed out – but defeat here wouldn’t just extinguish those chances completely, it would be disastrous for everyone associated with the club. It’s been mooted that a big enough defeat could even see Teague’s day of reckoning come even sooner than expected.

A few of the Blues’ inclusions may be playing for their careers this afternoon, most notably veteran Marc Murphy. Currently sitting on 295 games, him finding the four remaining games to join the prestigious 300-game club could be dependent on his performance today. Equally, youngster Sam Petrevski-Seton returns to the side after an extended stint on the outer; he’ll be keen to establish himself as a best-22 player in the run home.

The Crows headed into their bye last week in high spirits, thanks to a remarkable comeback win over St Kilda in Round 13. Scoreless up until halfway through the second quarter, the Crows took until the dying seconds to hit the front, thanks to a winning goal from prized number two draft pick Riley Thilthorpe.

Expectations are a funny thing in footy; while Matthew Nicks’ team are just one win ahead of the Blues on the ladder, things look far rosier at West Lakes than they do at Ikon Park. A win here, while disastrous for their rivals, would be another step towards future success for the Crows after the horror of last year’s wooden spoon.

Due to alterations to the fixture caused by Sydney’s COVID-19 outbreak, this match has been moved forward half an hour from an original start time of 4:40pm.

Might be onto something mate. Just watched the show on the afl website with Lloyd and Barrett and not a single word about how their season is spiralling out of control. Unusual for a team to avoid scrutinty when they are playing so bad.

Razor Ray must NEVER be allowed to umpire a Carlton game again - probably any game, but I dont care that much about the others. The dodgy and fantasy free kicks he awarded Adelaide inside their forward fifty in the first two quarters were insane. The other two umpires were fine, but Ray Chamberlain is a buffoon. No more Razor Ray please.

If the season started now the bottom six would be hard to separate for the spoon with GC probably in the worst form of them at the moment. Just a matter of whether North can make up enough ground on them.

Big fan of Owies, 13.11 from 8 games and averaging 3 tackles is a great return, will only get better. Stocker seems to be getting more and more comfortable at the level.

5) Murphy getting subbed out was a blessing. Newman was very handy down back. Like his decision making.

Yeah he has it in for the blues. A few times it has not been warranted but other times the team just needs a kick up the backside to get them going. .The suns though deserve to get blasted for losing to north and being dreadful for the past 2 months. They are in a lot of trouble as a club.

Macca I totally agree just play these high draft picks like Dow and SPS in their natural positions and we start to see their true value. This can also be said of Williams who firstly responded to the criticism through the week but importantly showed were he can best assist this side. I am pretty sure Owies had his highest disposal match and the other young guy that continues to impress is Stocker. He is very good in tight, has clean hands and is physical, would love to see him in the midfield in the near future. It will be interesting to watch the how next month unfold particularly if they can keep this team on the park and most importantly continue to gel and improve as a unit.

You’ve got to be impressed with Owies. He is very handy, and is always good for a couple of majors. He is like Fraser Murphy, who played for us in the 1980’s.

I think you are right about Kane Cornes. He doesn’t have tolerance for teams that are going poorly, so he will get stuck into the Suns. He said that he hoped Carlton would win. He may also start on Collingwood again too.

Great win today. We showed real spirit. It was good to see Williams kick a goal. Jones, and Weitering were solid in defense. Martin, and Betts were on song. Cripps played one of his best games of the year, and Walsh was best on ground. Hopefully we can back this up with a win against Fremantle.

Down to north, the suns and the hawks. Realistically it is probably now between the suns and north as I reckon the hawks have a 2-3 more wins left in them. I can't see GC winning another game for the year and North could potentially win 2 more games to avoid the spoon

The media scrutiny and condemnation will now be directed at the Suns. Kane Cornes will just have to put the boot into them rather than the Blues this week.

At least you won and responded after a poor few weeks, albeit it should have been a more comfortable result. Adelaide have been a tricky opponent for a few sides this year and a win is a win. Better to be in carlton's position right now than the gcs. Just look at how the suns and their delusional fans who blame all their woes on everyone else. One of their fans was accusing the umpires of pretty much rigging the game yesterday and saying the whole world is against them even though North had 9 more scoring shots than them...

Just had an awesome beef stroganoff. Frozen meal from the “Lighthouse” I think. Non for profit organisation helping the homeless. (The Suns may be there soon)
