Fremantle’s strong second half of the season continued last week with a thumping 31-point win over Sydney. The Dockers had always been desperately unlucky to start 0-4 and, while finals are out of the question, their run of three wins in four matches is just reward for what’s been a solid season.
The Giants are quickly running out of chances to get back into the top eight, having lost their second straight game last week to fall to 6-6. With a poor percentage, they’re going to need to rack up the wins and hope opponents above them trip up if they want to progress.
Freo claimed a shock upset win over GWS in last year’s meeting, a 24-point boilver in Canberra. The Dockers have won three of their last four home games, while the Giants are 0-4 all-time at Optus Stadium.

He's only in the team because of injuries. That shows where he is in the pecking order. Didn't catch yesterday but I thought he was our worst midfielder against Sydney. Needs to work on his disposal by foot.

It happens, we've been really good for the past few weeks. Were a young side, bound to have a poor game at some point.

Mate we were really poor from the start. Knew they would come out firing but we couldnt match em. JL for the 1st time was out coached and I think its a loss that we will learn a lot from and make us a better team going forward.

Didn't catch the game but sounds like we bumped into a GWS team and played them back into form. Disappointing way to end our stay at home. Another tough game against Richmond in a few days, let's hope for a better showing.

Again? He just played up forward and the ball didn't get there. Are you getting carried away with Dusty's 17 possession game? Brett Bewley and Taylin Duman did better than that.

No. He is absolutely essential and has no desire to play anywhere else. He was clean, strong and effective all day. Freo has already shed 4 players...with probably Matera and Colyer to go too. No need for any others. JL will probably recognize that if his management of Blakely and Hogan was better, we'd still be in contention. I know Longmuir is keen to get a few games into Valente and North and Dixon should come into defense for Duman. Wasting Fyfe at FF and Hill in defense is a real worry. Hill and Walters need real jolts. They are very soft at the moment and setting really poor examples with work rate. JL has some work to do on some of his judgement calls. His languaging around the Hogan exclusion is illogical, unsustainable and full of holes. JL has made mistakes but he's bright and will get it right.
