Alastair Clarkson and North Melbourne face a tough assignment to back up their Round 1 win, travelling west to take on Fremantle. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:30pm (AEDT).

The Dockers will be out to prove their shock Round 1 loss to St Kilda was a one-off, as they search for a cohesive forward line structure after managing just seven goals against the Saints. Nat Fyfe has made headlines during the week after an underwhelming start to life as a forward, while Josh Treacy has been omitted as Freo look for a smaller attack.

The Kangaroos started life under Clarkson in perfect fashion with a thrilling win over West Coast. Debutant Harry Sheezel starred with 34 disposals and earned a Rising Star nomination, while Luke Davies-Uniacke and Nick Larkey also excelled.

Veteran ruckman Todd Goldstein has been recalled with Tristan Xerri undergoing ankle surgery, while Aidan Corr has been named in the place of Aiden Bonar.

English? Now there's a boy who is under achieving. Already getting too old.

No. That is Peter Sumich. The man sent packing by Freo because of his tendency to "talk" to gossip journos. Jackson is a gem. Freo is just not chasing in defence or spreading on attack. That includes Serong, Brayshaw and Shultz, the trend setters in attacking defence. Sonny Walters turned things with effort. Too much in the head and not enough Nike ("Just Do It"). This is a coaching issue. Ross and Clarko highlighted that.

Talk out west that Jackson will be dropped, probably a good move it may fire up Darcy in the ruck. Bad move by Freo pursuing Hackson it’s caused some grief within your club’s setup. How would you like a swap at end of year, English for Darcy :stoked:

Hope never to be thought of as a troll Don but as I read it my thoughts were that you can't use absentees as an excuse. Because all teams have players out And on a personal note I still think Freo can get their act together. Too many good players . Hope you have a good day

Why? You need to read the context of the comment. Don't you start trolling too.

Don Freo

Roar Rookie

It's exactly why the comment. Freo is losing because they are not picking available talent. Sheezel got a game because there were no alternatives.

Ando that's what I asked Don to check when he said Freo were missing players Don't make excuses like lack of player as there were still 23 out there for Freo

Then if those players are better than Sheezel and LDU then why were they not picked Not a great comment Don. LDU got maximum coaches votes last week and probably will this week Same with Sheezel being among the best

Nahh not all I'd say would take a finals appearance and at least a finals win too I would think. Odds are if not before the end of the year if we self implode but Josh Carr will be coach next year.
