Fresh off their first win of the season, the Fremantle Dockers will look to make it two on the bounce against the St Kilda Saints at Metricon Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 12:35pm (AEST).
Freo had been competitive for the first four rounds, but fell short at the final hurdle in all four matches. Last week, however, they broke their duck with a handy win over fellow cellar-dwellers Adelaide. With their time in a Queensland hub coming to a close, an upset win over a high-flying opponent could be the catalyst for a good two months at home.
St Kilda, on the other hand, have been a pleasant surprise so far in 2020. They’ve won three of four since the season resumed – including the big scalps of the Western Bulldogs and Richmond – and are playing a superb brand of football under Brett Ratten. They haven’t won away from Marvel Stadium, however – their poor interstate record needs conquering.
Last year’s two meetings between these sides were thrillers, with the Dockers winning by five points in Perth and the Saints prevailing by three at Docklands. These sides have split their previous ten meetings at five wins apiece. They have nearly identical records at the redeveloped Carrara Stadium too; 4-3 for St Kilda and 4-4 for Fremantle.

I think the benefit of playing Fyfe forward was it gave us structure, pulled the Saints Defence deep and allowed space to open up for Lobb, Schultz etc. He is a huge danger being able to leap and attack the ball so they were all super wary. Bewleys left is a weapon as well. Id keep Banfield in, his attack on the footy is great, Duman is a tough one for me, body on body, he looses 90%, he is so slim. Cox can give you a bit more body on body. For some reason, I feel JL has a soft spot for Colyer, he is always getting a run-Id rather see Valente come in for a run. Henry will be great to get in the mix as well, but needs a few more games in the res to get fitter. In: Logue, Meeks (Depending on Darcy Fitness), Stuart, Cox, Cant squeeze Valente in - has his form in 2nds been any good? Out: Young, Duman, Colyer,

Nah I don't think we can pot Darcy for this one. If it had of been a soft tissue injury, different story but he was, I'll admit playing one of the best games I'd seen him play before he was knocked out. Fair play to Lobb though, much better in the ruck yesterday than previous games.

Probably agree, Logue takes Young's spot unfortunately. If he doesn't get up then Cox comes in. Amazing job by an undersized defence, Ryan, Duman and Hughes were all awesome.

He also kicked one and set up Lobb's goal after a contested mark and a point point 40 metre kick to Lobb's advantage...and you only focus on the points? Did you see his opponent get 3 shots on goal and an assist?

I think we can stitch the Eagles up, there done for mine. The Cats and Pies after that will be a good test.

He's played 30 games already. Apeness never got there. Totally different. To find a negative and rattle on about that after the way he played shows a desperately defeatist mindset. Celebrate the fact he proved you wrong. Did you want to be right so badly that you wanted him to fail?

The backline was good, add Logue this week but not Cox as you say. They all deserve to be maintained, they can match the flat track bullies this week.

Darcy missed a couple of easy ones, should of kicked 3 goals. Freo did miss a few set shots in the third quarter, should of won by more.

Unfortunately injury or not he continues a bad run.Has not completed two consecutive games in a row for nearly two seasons.Hopefully he doesn’t become another Apeness because like him he shows promise but struggled for years.

You should post all your comments here for the next week.

Yet again? Surely you are not putting that concussion down to being injury prone? Good grief!

Bewley will just go head to head with Kelly and take yet another scalp. He is relentless.

9 disposals, 2 contested marks, 2 tackles, 1.2...all in 30 minutes of game time. Multiply that by 3...

Agree re Logue but Id have Duman in before Cox on current form.

Looking forward to see Valente and Henry in coming weeks as well.

He could be handy, but never great. Just like to see him put a few games together first.

Cant drop Duman again. He was immense.

Gee Don, that's no good. Hope everything is alright!

Logue is potentially our most important player without Pearce and Hamling long term. Need him back asap. Maybe Cox as well

Looks like we will probably lose Young to injury but I'm hoping Darcy will be ok. Need some defensive reinforcements however so Logue back would be ideal. Would still like to see Cam McCarthy return. Changes for next week: Ins: Logue, McCarthy, Sturt Outs: Young (spewing he is injured), Banfield (I like him but I think Sturt is better), Colyer (played well today but he shouldn't be best 22)
