Round 12 concludes with the Fremantle Dockers hosting a Western Bulldogs outfit looking to redeem themselves from last week’s ugly loss. Tune into the action from Optus Stadium right here on The Roar with live scores from 6:40pm (AEST).
The Bulldogs’ status as premiership favourites was swiftly taken off them with their loss to Melbourne on Friday night. While the Dogs have only lost two games for the year, and sit pretty in seventh, that’s now two major challenges they’ve failed in 2021, the other their defeat to Richmond back in Round 7.
With matches against Geelong and West Coast to come, a loss here could see Luke Beveridge’s team start to fall down the ladder. They’ve rung the changes for their trip west, with ruckman Stefan Martin returning from injury, while luckless midfielder Patrick Lipinski is again on the outer.
The Dockers have flirted with making a serious run for the finals this season, but have consistently been found wanting against the best sides in the competition. Round 11 was a perfect example, the Dockers gallant but ultimately outclassed by Port Adelaide to the tune of 46 points.
After kicking 9.15 last week, the Dockers will welcome the return of spearhead Matt Taberner from injury, while key defender Griffin Logue is also back to help shore up the defence. With Dogs’ tall targets Josh Bruce and Aaron Naughton both in excellent form, Logue and fellow backs Luke Ryan and Brennan Cox have their work cut out for them to keep the big Dogs down.

Venue: Optus Stadium, Perth

You’re hilarious! I’m posting official AFL stats, you’re posting…….well, nothing!! :stoked: Try Posting True Facts instead of your made up Don Facts! Let me post the CAREER numbers once again just so it sinks in: Career Kicking Efficiency: Dusty – 57.7% Fyfe – 57.1% At the end of the day it’s not the most important stat, Premierships & Norm Smiths are probably more significant, but you seem pretty obsessed by it and if Dusty is behind those Players you mentioned for Kicking Efficiency then Fyfe is even further back. The numbers condemn him.

I watched the game don’t have to listen to your porky pies listen to the coach crap and excuses.

You're getting closer. Last year Dusty was worse, this year you left out because the numbers are damning. You should give up one this one. Do you want to try? I've given you the numbers each week. Dusty has been relegated to the also rans as an efficient midfielder. He is now competing with Charlie Cameron, Sunny, Toby Greene, Kysaiah Pickett, Bailey Fritsch as that 10 minute spurt forward pocket. He is one of the best at that...but no longer in the conversation as one of the elite mids. The numbers condemn him.

Logue and Ryan played on Naughton. Listen to the coach.

So, you think one week is a valid sample size. You’re so full of it, Don. Nothing you post can be trusted. 2021 Season Kicking Efficiency: Dusty – 53.0% Fyfe – 54.7% Career Kicking Efficiency: Dusty – 57.7% Fyfe – 57.1% It’s sad how affected by Dusty you are! Once again, remind me how many Premierships and Norm Smith Medals Fyfe has. Whatever that number is currently, is what he’ll retire with.

Wrong again Ryan towelled up Bruce......Cox played on Naughton surely even you could see that.

Cox totally beat Dixon after those first 10 minutes. JLo made a point of explaining that. The midfield not stopping supply was the problem then. Dixon disappeared from the game. Reappeared with Marshall in the last 3 minutes.

Stephen Hill is a top 10 player. When he returns, some eyes will open.

That number was this week.

I am talking about this season and last season. The current players they are: I dare you to publish them. Dusty is cruising on PR alone. I have been keeping you updated each week. Fyfe has been in the 70% area for 3 seasons now. You think Dusty's 40s and 50s is OK? Wowee!

Cox had a shocker last week against Port and Dixon, wasnt in the game at all. But I love the way he goes about it, will play 200 games for the club

Good Call on Sturt. Yes Agree - Aish is a filler just like Acres, they are depth players. No space for Shooter Shultz or Bewley who I enjoy watching ( great left boot). Pearce on the Bench too, handy rotation player....far better than an undersized Duman/Watson

Caught out again with your BS Don-facts. It's a weird little fantasy world you live in Don where you just make stuff up. It must be your Dusty Derangement Syndrome at work. Career Kicking Efficiency: Dusty - 57.7% Fyfe - 57.1%

I'm defending Ray. He's good value and makes less errors than most. Yesterday, errors others made were blamed on Ray...mainly because people know him. No suggestion they influenced the result...but Treacy, Lobb, Henry, Fyfe, Walters and Schultz all should have got obvious frees less than 15 metres out.

Don is making no excuses. Speak for yoursef.

Sturt is out for the season. Pearce is better than every key defender in the comp. Cox, however is also outstanding. Totally dried up Bruce who is one of the AFL's leading goalkickers.

Pretty good team Tommy i think most of your interchange are ahead of Aish. Sturt is in the mix as well. Pearce fit is way better than Cox IMO.

With Cox down it is a opportunity to give Taberner a go down back although his work rate is a worry at times it’s worth a try. Pearce played well on the weekend but he is playing sore and it is the nature of his injury but fingers crossed for him we need some tall players down back.

Everyone agrees the umpiring was substandard but had no bearing on the result.

Sad about Darcy just starting to put some games together and breaks down again. Big in stature yes but love to see him without the mattress on his leg and lose 10 kg could make a huge difference to prolong his career.
