Melbourne Demons will travel to Metricon Stadium to take on the Gold Coast Suns in attempt to secure their first consecutive wins of the season. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 4:35pm AEST.

A tight win over the Hawks may have kick-started the slow start to the season for the Demons, while the Suns have exceeded expectations with three wins already.

Goals will be relished in this match, both the Suns and Demons are sitting in 18th and 17th for goals for this season.

Max Gawn is returning to his All Australian form but will face Jarrod Witts who is leading the competition for hitouts in 2019.

All eyes will be on the midfield matchup as Touk Miller will have the hard task of following clearance kings in Clayton Oliver and Angus Brayshaw.

Prediction
The Demons began season 2019 with large expectations and haven’t lived up to the hype, but a win on the road to the Suns could get the ball rolling for their finals aspirations.

That's such a hard loss for the Suns. Their defence was great all game.

Tom McDonald was beaten today by Sam Collins but he stood up when it mattered and at the end of the day he has saved the Demons season for another week.

That is a perfect example of why the 666 is a success, the Demons had no right to win that game and with the new zones have been able to get a clear stoppage win on two occasions

Dees go forward Harmes crumbs it and Tom McDonald kicks off the ground and they have somehow won the game... he has kicked a point, siren sounds and that is one of the best wins the Dees could have as a club
