Not a GWS supporter. Complete over reaction in my view, contact was there. He knew contact was coming, but free kick every day of the week. Death threats - just crazy and shows how brave spineless keyboard warriors are.....Ward is as tough as nails and they wouldn't say that to him face to face.
He did put plenty of mayo on the high contact.. but then again the umpire didn’t have a gun to his head when he blew the whistle. The Giants were coming pretty hard anyway - I doubt Essendon would have hung on even if Ward wasn’t given the free kick.
