Goes to show how important big Sav is to Geelong's forward structure. Playing Hawkins as the lone tall didn't work in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and still ain't working in 2019. Dunno why the selectors wouldn't pick any of the big men kicking goals in the VFL. Kruger, Buzza, Smith, Fort, Abbott have all been playing well enough to get a shot while Sav is out. Geelong reverted back to chip-chip-bomb it long down the line. That didn't work in previous years either. Gotta get back to what they were doing before the bye.

These two losses (Bulldogs and Port) will probably help Geelong more than hurt them. No coaches will admit it but you need losses during the year and strategically, these were not bad for Geelong. Expect them to win the next 3 to reaffirm their favouritism for the flag.

Doggies are so tough to read. Got smashed by Carlton didn’t they? Maybe the Pies recent win was better than what Bucks thought?

Incredible final quarter from the pups, very rare this season to see Geelong completely over-powered.
