Australia are looking to pile on the runs after ending the Pakistan first innings with a hefty 216 runs at tea on Day 3 at Optus Stadium.

Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 1:20pm (AEDT).

Australia have been almost flawless in this Test, scoring heavily with the bat while grinding hard with the ball against a dogged Pakistan batting line-up. While the Aussies haven’t been rewarded much with the ball yet, they can break this game open with a few early scalps to start day three.

Pakistan have done extremely well with the limitations in their XI. However, they are already playing with the mentality of hanging on for a draw. In order for that to be successful, Pakistan have to be almost flawless with the bat and take time out of the game. For that to happen, Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq have massive responsibilities on their shoulders.

STUMPS DAY THREE: Australia 2/84 - leading by 300 runs Pakistan continue to fight, but they remain to be behind the game heavily. They started well with the ball, but once Faheem Ashraf came on, all pressure came off. With the Perth pitch showing signs of inconsistent bounce, you would think Australia have nearly batted Pakistan out of the game.
