After the ODI series wraps up, the Perth Scorchers will host the Hobart Hurricanes at Optus Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores and a blog of the match from 9:30pm AEDT.

Earlier this week the Perth Scorchers had a solid win – just their third of the season – over the Sydney Sixers.

On a great Optus Stadium deck, fast bowlers Matt Kelly and Andrew Tye took two wickets apiece, however, the Sixers still put together 177 runs from their 20 overs.

In the chase, Cameron Bancroft fired with 87 not out and Ashton Turner posted an important 60 runs, to take the win with seven balls to spare.

The Hurricanes are also coming off a victory, a comprehensive 59-run win over the Melbourne Stars.

At the MCG, Hobart posted a big total of 185, with a 96 not out stand from opener D’Arcy Short.

They then bowled the Stars out in the eighteenth over, for just 126 runs. Riley Meredith struck with four wickets, while Johan Botha and Jofra Archer took two each.

In team news for the Scorchers, Ashton Agar returns to the squad, recovering from an ankle injury sustained last week.

Nick Hobson has also been included, approved by the technical committee to replace injured youngster Cameron Green in Perth’s team list for BBL|08.

Green experienced back pain in his last BBL game and subsequent scans have revealed bone stress, which will require significant rest and recovery.

The Hurricanes have made the one change to their squad: Caleb Jewell replaces Jake Doran.

Doran is currently playing in the Cricket Australia XI vs Sri Lanka three-day tour match, Jewell will make his debut if included in the final team.

Prediction
Hobart Hurricanes to take a win in the west.

Join The Roar for live coverage of the clash right after the ODI, from 9:30pm AEDT.

Considering the crowds at Optus have dwarfed the capacity of the WACA what do you suggest about the tens of thousands of people who would have missed out?

Thank you for tuning in to tonight's Big Bash, it was a late one for half the country, but I'm glad you could tune in. Perth are now in a very tricky position on only three wins for the season, while Hobart look the squad to beat, stretching out their lead at the top of the table. Enjoy your weekend and I'll be back next week for all the action in the WBBL final!

As long as he doesn't get to 'finish' with the ball.

That was the excitement the Big Bash has been missing for a while. The best finish I've seen this season, what huge final overs from both sides. Firstly Coulter-Nile for the Scorchers to get their total up to 177 and then Faulkner to get the win for the Hurricanes.

Jordan, go to a game there. The atmosphere is even better than at the WACA, It is fantastic. You have to remember there are always 2 teams trying to win. Great game.

HOBART HURRICANES WIN BY 4 WICKETS! What a finish! 16 required from 6 balls, a very tight finish, but Faulkner goes 6 4 6 to steal the win with 3 balls to spare! Huge innings from Bailey 69 (39) helped the Hurricanes there, but the finish from Faulkner was the highlight of the Hobart innings. Tye couldn't quite get things done for Perth at the death. Perth 9/177 Hurricanes 6/178

I’ve had enough. Moving to a terrible dull big stadium from a small atmospheric stadium And defending low totals but not big totals, so inconsistent. I feel sick

SIX to finish! WOW WHAT A FINISH FROM FAULKNER. He couldn't connect with much earlier, but the final over sees the finisher Faulkner go over the rope twice and to the rope once, for the WIN! Overs 19.3 Hurricanes 6/178

Coulter-Nile to Faulkner, drills along the ground to deep cover for a single, retains the strike. 16 form 6 balls is the equation. Overs 19 Hurricanes 6/162
