He didn’t get fined from the ICC for abusing the refs and shouting into the stump cam? I’m not surprised really a class batsmen with a terrible attitude no apology made after the match. It’s kind of hard to feel sorry for him.

Watching the highlights at the end was crazy India in particularly Ashwin,Kholi and Pant were all abusing both the umpires and even starring into the stump cam shouting at it when a DRS call didn’t go their way. I have never seen anything like that in cricket before and there seems not much mention of it from media which doesn’t surprise me India can do whatever they want on the pitch.

I watched it no doubt Pakistan dominated early wickets and good spin in the middle. India did manage a fight back but it definitely wasn’t enough they were helped by a poor Pakistan finish and they played Jadeja ahead of Pandya probly cost them a few runs but doesn’t matter Pakistan were dominant.

After a lot of reviewing lol I’m actually fine with Mitch Marsh in the team especially given the fact he can give you a handy over or 2 .

Yea fair point I’m still fine with him being in the team I would just like to see Josh Inglis given a chance at some point.

That is true conditions were tricky and he did bat well. I just don’t believe Marsh is the best possible option to bat at 3 it just suits the team better cause he can bat good at 3 and it works well in terms of the current batting lineup given that Smith Maxwell and Stoinis look good batting in their current positions and I’m happy that they are currently 4,5 and 6 it works well for the team so that means Marsh can either bat 3,or 7 which his obviously going to bat at 3. There is just a greater potential for AUS to score more runs in the powerplay if they make changes to the top order.

I dont think anyone was thinking McDermott would do anything special. Phillipe did play some nice innings and was worth a go and could do with improvement no doubt and was dropped that’s how it goes but Inglis has been hitting and seeing the ball well when a lot of players look to be struggling his worth a go. Dont forget Inglis is also a very good with the gloves better then Wade even tho it’s T20 this can still make an important difference.

You have to give him a chance at least we need someone who can make instant runs in the powerplay. This is Marsh’s last 10 innings batting at 3 in competitive games

There are only 2 innings there where he goes at a good strike rate against and average West Indies bowling attack. The next games after those innings he bats in numerous positions usually just coming in late for a couple of balls but he did make a nice 45 of 33 batting at 4 against Nz a while back.

Yea I have looked at his last 10 legitimate innings in t20 for Australia not warm up games and he has done some good stuff his also done some very average innings that chewd up deliveries and a lot of his high scoring innings he went at a 110 strike rate. that side was missing a lot of players that are capable of going at a much higher strike rate in the powerplay. Just move Marsh further down the order.

I did get carried away a bit with dropping Marsh they should just shuffle the batting order around and bring in Inglis.

He did perform good on recent tours but that team didn’t have Smith and Stoinis in the side or Inglis. Marsh’s good pefromace with bat will come where he might make 35 or 40 runs at a 120 strike rate so what? Inglis can make a quick fire 30 at a 150 strike rate and immediately relieve pressure. Unless Marsh can come in at 7 an be effective I have no doubt at all the team will immediately benefit by having Inglis at 3. The opening powerplay is critical in t20 and you need to take advantage of it.
I’m not saying Marsh is useless his a handy player and can still defiently be in the team I would just prefer Inglis or Smith at 3.

I never said he was a good batsmen has just shown ability to get quick runs with not many overs to go. I’m just not a fan of Marsh at 3 Inglis or Smith or Wade would do a better job in that position.

Your looking it it the wrong way his average is low but his batting has improved and he has but he does look more likely to add quick runs at the end of an innings compaired to Marsh. Marsh usually takes a while to get going you need someone in the powerplay to make quick runs immediately both Wade and Inglis do that exact role. Marsh was good in the recent tours no doubt but he was effectively just playing Steve Smith’s role and Steve Smith can do that better then Marsh. You already have a like for like player with Stoinis in the team and even though Stoinis can also give you a bad innings he has the same average and a higher strike rate then Marsh and has shown he can be damging in the final overs of an innings.

He can go at a much higher strike rate then Marsh and coming in at 7 all he has to do is a nice cameo of 20 of 10 which he has shown he can do quite easily,

He wasn’t even that good he just managed to make enough runs at an average strike rate Smith can do the exact same role as that but at a higher strike rate. Marsh takes a while to get going Sams is able to come in at the end and be a pinch hitter juat look at some of the innings his played for Australia.

A good win in terms of the bowling but changes still need to be made to this side. Josh Inglis would immediately improve the batting.

This potential lineup is redicuclous Josh Inglis has to be in the team preferably opening and it’s far to batting heavy with a weeker bowling attack. Agar is a waste at 8 he has to be in at 7. Starc or Cummins can bat decent at 8 in t20. They should just pick 4 specialist bowlers 1 bowling allrounder and 1 batting allrounder. Given that Warner or Finch won’t be dropped I’d prefer to see a lineup like this.

You can chop and change that batting order or some or the bowlers but I feel that is a stronger team. Stoinis is capable of going at a higher strike rate then Mitch Marsh with their bowling being around even.

I’d really like to see Josh Inglis given more of an opportunity his been in red hot form and Warner and Finch have poor. Cummins is a good T20 bowler but he usually takes a bit of time to get back into rythym when his been out for a while. They Should of picked another specialist batsmen in the team but the thing is there isn’t many to choose from. India look a very complete side they have a good allrounder a strike pace bowler good spinning options and a strong batting lineup.

If Marsh can prove to be a wicket an innings player and you strengthen the batting tail with Neser or Pattinson at 8 it could ve very useful.

Just rediculous its suppose to be a world event for all to enjoy. Most sports are becomming a joke with tv rights. I dont get how you can bring fans into the game by making them pay for everything. I already pay for Kayo and Optus sport and that is way too much as is.
