Archer no ball haunts England as Maxwell and Carey ton up

By The Roar / Editor

Australia made Jofra Archer pay for overstepping when the game was on the line with Alex Carey and Glenn Maxwell sharing in a mammoth 212-run partnership to seal a 2-1 series victory over England.

But maybe you do to play that shot and still be not out!

Yep, you don't need divine intervention to ball a legal delivery!

Here's an idea. Don't bowl no balls. It's not bad luck it's just not out.

How short was that boundary on one side? For an international game, that seemed not long enough I'd have thought.

Yes, you wouldn’t really like to see a Mankad there without a warning. Australia bowled poorly again at the death, though maybe that’s a bit unfair to Woakes and Curran. Great partnership in the chase. Stoinis still doesn’t really look the goods.

Weird match. Well done Maxwell and Carey in particular. I also liked in the Aust innings that Starc gave Rashid a warning for backing up late in the innings. Rashid is a serial offender there. In reality Cummins probably could have mankadded him next over but didn't.
