Is this controversial new England tactic against the spirit of the game?

Could be fun to dig out some old English comments made when Crookjie used an earpiece...

In the spirit of what game? Cricket? I think the sooner we stop calling Twenty20 "cricket" and just call it "T20" a different sport in it's own right, the better. At this rate rugby league will be more like it's ancestor Rugby Union than T20 will be like its ancestor, cricket.

Perhaps they should try using sandpaper & then exude crocodile tears when caught. That works.

Good to see the Cricket Police trying to decide what's right and what's wrong again. Basic line is, anything the Aussies do is fine, anything anybody else does is wrong.

This is the team that invented the use of the professional replacement fielder. I wonder exactly what the match referee was told about it before he “cleared” it. And in any case, isnt it for the umpires to make the call of against the spirit of the game.

Unfortunately Barry, in modern society it is no longer unique to any one sport.

Once upon a time, long, long ago, cricketers actually had enough brains to play what was in front of them.
