mate, its not a law of course but if you dont see umpires give a lower margin of error for reverse sweeps, funky shots or no shot you arent watching closely enough

"if you play a reverse sweep and miss, you are likely to be given out" Well, that's a cricket law I didn't realise existed. Missed a reverse sweep. You probably will be given out. Interesting! Does that only apply to catches off the upper arm or lbw appeals that aren't in line or are missing the wickets too. Please tell me you don't umpire

yeh, you got me, confess I only watched it live and didn't see the side on slomo where he is not out. having said that, (I was wrong..) if you play a reverse sweep and miss, you are likely to be given out (albeit incorrectly) and Labuschagne is a boy who cried wolf with carrying on after disputed decisions, so there!

Both wicky and Maxwell knew that wasn’t out. Poor show. A deviation like this one, off glove or bat, would’ve given a different sound to flesh.
