I'm a bit confused. When they show the ball going past the bat in super slomo, with snicko, the ball seems to pass at the bottom of the bat. Yet, a few seconds later in just slomo, the ball seems to pass halfway up the bat. Are they the same delivery ?

Not selecting your best side biggest blunder (quotas), Rossouw, Abbott, Olivier would have been handy.

i may be losing my brain but the two bits of vision don't seem to add up. when the noise happens the ball looks like on snicko it is right next to the bat. but on the delayed angle the ball seems to bounce away from the bat. i am struggling to see on that angle when it would have hot the bat - unless it came off the face i am not 100% convinced he hit it. and that de kock, who was clearly watching the ball, wouldn't have seen it deviate. tahir heard a noise but maybe it was a boot scrunch or a bat handle? maybe i am losing my sight....1

How did De Cock not want to review that? And they had 6 other chances to finish New Zealand off. South Africa is really cursed at World Cups.

This was not a Steve Waugh/Herschel Gibbs moment. Not even close. South Africa had chances to win this game but it wasn't to be. They would have had to win a lot more and have other results go their way just to make the finals, let alone win it.

I think this was a case of 'the man who appealed too much.' Tahir always thinks he has a wicket and Faf has probably lost trust with him wanting to review everything.

Meh. Catches win matches. Both teams shelled chances. The Proteas failed to fire earlier in the tournament and it has cost them. Unfortunately, despite being a power in the game, South Africa has traditionally struggled at this tournament.
