Round 25 of the NRL premiership continues with the Wests Tigers hosting the Dolphins at CommBank Stadium in Sydney. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 3pm (AEST).

Neither side is in the running for the finals but both will be motivated going into this one. The Tigers, perhaps fairly, feel like they have been dudded by questionable calls lately. The Dolphins, on the other hand, would like to show their coach that they haven’t stalled after all.

The Tigers were brave against the Warriors in Hamilton last round, eventually going down 30-22. However, post game, it was the 11-5 penalty count that caused the majority of discussion.

Wests are close to full strength and playing at near their potential. Daine Laurie has been a revelation in the six jersey and he will need to strike up a combination with Api Koroisau with Luke Brooks out due to a calf injury.

The Dolphins have 1 win from their past nine games and it is frankly difficult to disagree with Wayne Bennett’s assessment. The 30-14 loss to the Roosters was the latest instalment in a disappointing end to their season.

The Dolphins cornerstone has been their vastly experienced forward pack. However, as the season has progressed, injuries have taken their toll and depth has been tested. It is likely to be the same again this weekend.

The Dolphins have been dealt several blows this week, with Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Connelly Lemuelu and Kenny Bromwich all missing due to concussion protocols. Jack Bostock, Robert Jennings and Euan Aitken slot in. Harrison Graham comes in for the injured Jeremy Marshall-King and JJ Collins comes in for Ray Stone.

Prediction

Both teams are playing for pride now but it feels like the Tigers may have slightly more at stake.

They have been close in recent weeks and they may just sneak home this afternoon. Tigers by 2

The Tigers have broken their losing streak with a 1 point win over the Dolphins. Koroisau put his stamp on the game late via his short kick off and then 40m conversion that hit the cross bar and bounced over. It has been a season of turmoil for the Tigers but they will be celebrating tonight

NOW they start calling them forward? It was the right call but these days that's usually called "flat-ish enough".
