After breaking the drought last week, the Wests Tigers are looking to make it two wins in a row when they host the Gold Coast Titans. Follow every score from Campbelltown on The Roar with live scores from 5:30pm (AEST).

The Tigers broke a four-match losing streak last week with an upset 16-8 win over the Dragons, to relieve some of the building pressure on Michael Maguire.

However, they need to prove that the effort they showed in Round 8 can be replicated, with the defence likely to be tested by an in-form Titans attack.

The Titans have shown signs in 2021 they are ready to return to finals action, but last week’s disastrous loss to the Broncos proved Justin Holbrook’s team still has a way to go yet.

From 22-0 up, the Titans were extraordinarily run down by one of the wooden spoon favourites – another loss to a team languishing near the bottom of the ladder would be a hammer blow to thoughts of a finals run this season.

The Titans, however, are two from two at Campbelltown Sports Stadium, though they haven’t played there since 2017.

Titans can’t defend - they should replace Justin Holbrook with Ted Orion!

It’s getting their best on the paddock that is the problem at the moment. If they can they are definitely a chance. The Eels i just don’t get the hype….another year dreaming about 1986 for mine

 I wouldn't write off Souths with their best on the paddock, but that's it. Eels maybe.

Don’t need to wait very long. Too bad they will be less Fifita and Peachey.

Titans should have been 50-0 too. But they're a bunch of layabouts.

To be honest outside of the Storm and Panthers I can’t see anyone get close to the GF. Souths are too bashed up, Roosters likewise and the Eels just aren’t at that level.

He’s not bad but still developing in his role.

I might add, the officials, onfield and bunker are not up to scratch either.

Of the four teams seen so far today there is no threat whatsoever to the top four. Sixty four points scored in a first grade match , 11 tries is simply not up to NRL standard.

Also, Jake Simpkin had a red-hot crack as well. And I don't mean he had a hot Vindaloo last night either!

Two reserve grade standard sides.

What does that say about the Tigers though Hard Yards? They are barely first-grade standard... like Souths against the Storm (you were all thinking it!) :silly:

If the Titans were playing a top 4 side with these constant spoiling tactics they would have had players sin-binned every other minute. They have been given too much latitude in the slowing down the play the ball, and they got away with a blatant professional foul by Mitch Rein. A 10 minute sin-bin for 90 seconds was hardly a square up.

Tigers conceded over 30 again! I thought Madge Maguire was all about defense? Tigers (after this game) are conceding an average of 29.1 points per game, total shambles in my book, someone has to be held accountable for it and soon.
