Albo totally agree, when you consider the team they were playing is in the middle of their super league season and that was a fist up hit out since last September with a bit of a warm up trial beforehand in France.....it was pretty pleasing to be honest as it was a fair dinkum game with St Helens not giving an inch. Some very impressive early season defence work from the Roosters too.

You can understand the low ratings - 55k at that time is OK, but the average punter wouldn't even know it was going on - maybe if the Roosters weren't playing it might get more press.

Manu will I think have a big season for the Chooks. He's an excellent player.

Same thing with Asian Champions League football, barely gets a mention. What do both competitions have in common? Each played outside of Australia.

I suppose if you searched hard enough you may have found it - certainly wasn't prominent.

There was coverage of the game in literally all those outlets along with the major Aussie papers. Kind of embarrassing that a sports website like this couldn’t cover it...

Same reason there was no coverage in the Guardian, Daily Mail, BBC etc etc

Very impressive first hit out of the season for the Chooks. If attitude is anything, they are looking pretty good early for another tilt at the title. St Helens tried hard and bombed a few chances, but overall the Roosters big guns were too strong late with Jake Friend, Aubusson, Teddy, Manu , Keary and Tupou very good.

Any reason why this game has received zero coverage on this site?
