I thought you would enjoy it - as I recall Barry (from the bush 'n all) didn't mind a blue if it came his way. He kept impressive company for many years. :boxing:

There were some top class left arm of jersey pulls followed by a classic right arm of jersey pull – left, left, right – plus an impressive over the head full jersey drag. My favorites were during the in close / clinch efforts, some mighty strong short arm jersey collar twists there, accompanied by at least two or three growling “I’m gunna, I’m gunna, I’m gunna” full on face contortions. All round it was less your brutal ice hockey platinum grade assault with serious hardwood clubs and more your typical rugby league gathering of amateurs with zero skill, moving about as one, holding each other upright. They usually last less than half a round because the boys suddenly discover that keeping your gloves up for any length of time is seriously tiring work. :stoked: Have a look at the club names – it was going to be on right from the jump, with the country boys looking forward to giving the city nancy boys a touch up.

It is only news because it's not something you expect to see and is incredibly rare.

What else would you expect from Rugby League?

Doesn't matter wether it's indigenous or Newcastle comp. Same guys that are always involved. Rather fight than eat.

If you want to professionally box, then get in the ring, lads - not a football field. These supposedly “proud” players need to be setting better examples to the kids in the crowd.
