Wonder how many times Ennis and Hodges would have been knocked out if this type of retaliation was acceptable? Don’t get me wrong I have little sympathy for the instigator but he probably doing what others have been getting away with. Should be penalising players for shoving players in the back or rubbing their head.

Wouldn’t necessarily say the guy deserved it, but he instigated it and it didn’t work out

The outlawing of this is why halfbacks think they can get away with the rubbish that provoked it in the first place.

How many years ago would that have been a great punch, 10-20? Now it is a horrendous incident and King Hit. Times are changing fast. It is not a King hit btw, that would by a hit the target is blindsided by the attacker. That was a straight up old school fight which got ended very quickly, the result, terrible.

Wouldn't have happened if he didn't get pushed in the back of the head first
