If the NRL really wanted to make a statement about that sort of dangerous tackle, the refs should have sent him off. That happening in the first 5 minutes of the season would have left nobody in any doubt as to their stance.

Off to The Big Apple for a 2 week break to "look up old friends".

He was superb last night...when did he get a breather? 70 minutes? It was a slog as well and he came up with some great effort plays like the bootlace tackle ion Hughes when he made a half break. That was when the Storm had their foot on the Broncos throats and could have kicked away. Huge play. He put a nice hit on I think it was Curtis Scott too...

Hahaha...it was a shocker. He dived right at Munster’s knees. I’m happy to give him the benefit of the doubt and say it wasn’t deliberate but it was still pretty bad and could have ended a lot worse. I didn’t think it was particularly late if he’d have tackled Munster but diving at the knees is a no go

He was the Broncos best forward last night as he was last season. They will miss him badly over the next couple of weeks.

You're joking right? Late and spearing in at the knees. Could easily end a players season going in like that. Can't use the excuse of Munster jumping as all players do when putting up a bomb. Terrible play from a terrible person.

So another case of the media being hysterical. The tackle was only marginaly late and you could clearly see he was aiming for his waist. The kicker jumped after lodge was commited and a penalty was sufficent.
