Now where's my prepared notes? "I would like to apologise to my club, the NRL & the fans. I stuffed up, had a brain fade, an error of judgement, it was unintentional & I am remorseful. I just want to play footy & move forward". YAWN.

I wouldn't say anythign to the media, I would leave him to do that himself - his mess he can clean it up. But if I was Richardson, I would put a pair of safety goggles on to start with and then I would tell him he has nine weeks to show to pull his head in and show his dedication to the club if he wants to keep his job. What does it matter how big he is?

I agree it's not really a "tragedy" as per the Shakespearean definition. Given that GB is about 2 metres tall and 120kg and standing next to you, what would you say if you were in Richardson's position BA?

To paraphrase the great Richie Benaud: The Titanic was a tragedy, the Ethiopian drought a disaster, and neither bears any relation to a 9 week suspension.

Funny how an official comes out with a comment " it's a tragedy" or in Sims case he's heartbroken. Trying to make the perpetrator a victim. Give us a break.

You'd think George is being sent to jail after hearing these comments. Getting paid to take a 9 week break, what a shame...

He still hasn't told us WHY GB did what he did??? No excuses and I would have given him a longer stint on the sideline! The bloke hasn't got much between his ears, there is NO EXCUSE FOR STUPID!!!

Remember about 5 years ago when George was with his team mates in a backpackers bar in the heart of Cairns (after a game), then he found himself 20 minutes drive out of town and throwing street signs through a parked cars windshield at around at 3am... got two criminal charges out of that one....What an ornament he has been…. His statement afterwards; I would like to apologise unreservedly to the Rabbitohs Members, sponsors and everyone in the community,” Burgess said. “I have let my team and my family down. “I acknowledge that I am a role model for kids and I will do everything I can to restore my reputation through working harder in the community. “It is my responsibility to ensure that this type of behaviour does not happen again. “I will learn from my mistake and bounce back stronger and better as a person.” Nah you didn't champ... You are still a grub with no respect for others. What a credit to your club he is Mr Richardson...

It’ll be a tragedy if the Bunnies miss the top4. The Burgi have been running amuck for sometime .Benny had a muzzle on them early on but recently they’ve slipped the lead.
