New Zealand and South Africa have played out a remarkable draw in the second round of the 2019 Rugby Championship.
The All Blacks were much better in the second half and really upped the tempo and looked like they would get the win as the Boks struggled to create any opportunities.
But the Boks had one chance and they took it in the final minute with Herschel Jantjies scoring his third try in only his second game for the Boks.

The All Blacks will welcome rivals the Springboks to the Cake Tin in Wellington for what promises to be an absolutely brutal match as round two of The Rugby Championship kicks off on Saturday evening. Join The Roar for live scores and a blog of this clash starting from 5:35pm AEST on Saturday.
Both sides have made sweeping strategic changes to their line ups and there are only three players from both teams who played last weekend and will start this Saturday.
For the Kiwis many of their Crusaders are back in the team and only Beauden Barrett, Ben Smith and Brodie Retallick have been retained from last week.
Interestingly, Steven Hansen is delivering a fly half and full back combination that many fans have been crying out for. Barrett will start at the back and Richie Mo’unga will start in the No.10 shirt.
It will be exciting to watch if these two playmakers can create a genuinely effective partnership. If they do then the Boks could be in a lot of trouble.
Fans and pundits alike will also be keeping a close eye on how Sonny Bill Williams performs on his return to the black jersey.
SBW has had a frustrating season missing the vast majority of Blues duty with injury. There are those who feel that he hasn’t been able to deliver his devastating best consistently enough to deserve a starting slot in the centres especially when players like Ngani Laumape have come on so much this season.
But it’s hard to deny that on his day SBW can be impossible to control and his offloading game can be critical to the All Blacks’ attack.
The Springboks are clearly targeting this match for a big performance. Rassie Erasmus sent some of his top talent over to New Zealand ahead of the rest of the party to help them acclimatize and prepare for this big clash.
Given that these two heavyweights will meet in the group stages of the World Cup in just a few weeks, gaining some bragging rights on Saturday will mean everything and nothing.
Eben Etzebeth, Pieter-Steph du Toit and Makazole Mapimpi are back again after beating the Wallabies last weekend but other than that, it’s all change.
Herschel Jantjies will obviously feel disappointed considering his impressive, two-try debut last week, but his move to the bench does mean that we’ll get to see a fantastic clash between the scrum-halves as Faf de Klerk and TJ Perenara go head to head.
Prediction
Last time these two played in Wellington was last year and the Boks won a brilliant game 34-32. The South Africans are definitely building nicely towards Japan and have really stepped up in people’s estimations over the past week but this is the real test.
All Blacks, at home, is usually a lock. But there’s something about this match that just feels a bit different.

I stand by what I said. In every incident last weekend the bok rush defense was offside when perenara picked up the ball from the ruck. The lack of penalties just encourages that sort of defense. It is vertically impossible to catch the opposition team inside backs in possession from a lineout given the extra 10 metres they should be back other than by being offside.

3 incidents were big factors, Boks should have won. 1. Vermulen hands in Ruck wasn’t a penalty, he won the ball fairly. 2. There a clear knock on, that wasn’t a penalty. 3. In the 47min, Barrett steals 2m by kicking the ball fwd when ref is not looking. From the same knock on penalty. Cheats

AB gave away penalties as soon as the Boks threatened their line. Unfortunately for the Boks they could just not do enough to get a YC. However Boks can win games against AB in 3s. AB looks more vulnerable than they did in a long time
