What a beat up! We can't tell from this video that it was a "touchie howler". From what I could see on the video, the ball may have been outside the projections of the posts as it passed the plane of the bar (I couldn't actually say it went over the bar). I think the assistant referees were better placed to make the call than anyone who made the judgement on the basis of this videa.
Certainly looked over, but can't be totally sure from that angle. The touchie by the right post would have had a better perspective, he might have got it wrong but it was close

Certainly there is little evidence of a 'massive howler' by the assistant referees. Quite possibly the ball went over the top of the post, curving to the left after it passed the upright.

Camera is deceptive. The ball hooked back but could well have been after it had passed over the top of the post. You need a side on angle.
