Good call from Mr O’Keefe?

On that basis Owen Farrell last week should have been a red card. Intentional no arms shoulder charge hitting above the shoulder potentially endangering the head. For me I think a penalty was the right decision. With the side benefit that with Kerevi not being sent off then Cheika has nothing to hide behind

It was definitely a penalty. I wouldn’t have carded but it was late enough to warrant a penalty

Agree, and the ref did well not to fall for the theatrics from 1/2P and the crowd.

Looked bad especially in slow-mo, but I think Ben O'Keefe got it right. Just a "rugby incident" to my mind. The player is commited to the charge down, didn't change his line and it wasn't really late. Just an unfortunate consequence.

Penalty; because it was reckless. Sort of like Damian de Allende in Cape Town, in 2017, leading to narrow Bok loss to the All Blacks.

Late high and leading with the shoulder. The onus is on the tackler to avoid this. Should have been a card.

It was careless contact to the head, should’ve been a yellow card. I imagine we will hear from the citing commissioner especially after Halfpenny went off after the hit.
