Oh calm down Sheek - I was just stirring you based on the way you worded your comment.
I have at times been known to follow the threads and am aware of your propensity towards having an opinion.
Yes, but that expression was found to be a high level breach of his code of conduct. It wasn’t that he has faith and wants to express it, it was the way he expressed that particularly sentiment was found to breach the COC.
More accurately, One of his CHRISTIAN beliefs that some faked massive over the top OFFENCE to and a Gay CEO of a sponsor decided to dictate to RA what they HAD to do about it
Its about nothing but freedon of expression. He was free to express a whole lot of things until RA said he cannot freely express his religious views or teachings about 1 group of people who are the the most protected group in Aus by law and then the CEO of RAs sponsor held RA to account over that 1 line in his expression of belief
Jocko, I don’t expect anyone to change their option. But I do expect people to understand what the actual issue is. It’s not his Christian beliefs, it’s him expressing what is widely considered homophobic statements on social media while representing RA.
Whether you feel they were homophobic is up to you. Whether you feel the COC is illegal is up to you. I’m not trying to argue those points. But trying to say it is because he is Christian or Qantas personally has it out for him is blatantly and demonstrably untrue. And I will argue those points.
I can appreciate people will see things differently to me and will see some things in a different light. I’m ok with that.
paolo the same could be said of you. You have had it all explained to you by some on the ROAR ad nauseam yet your position on the matter has not changed yet you expect others to change their opinion....But only to agree with you and your opinion.
Marlin what about the young men and women who are strugling with lying? Drinking, Fornicating? etc...Or is it only those strugling with their sexuality that could be pushed over the edge? And why? Isnt being homosexual one of the most legally protected choices a young person could make? This is not the 70s. being gay is no barrier to doing anything.
The WA rugby community was sacrificed so that the Rebels can have a bright future - are they delivering on and off the field? The Force never enjoyed the level of ARU financial backing and the player roster that the Rebels have - it is a fair question to ask why the Rebels continue to disappoint? With the backing they got from ARU, we should expect that the Rebels should be serious title contenders, however they may not even make the finals.
Piru,
What a ridiculously puerile comment. You would know if you ever bothered to follow the Roar threads, that I'm very strongly opinionated.
Give yourself an uppercut, & go to comprehension school.
The reaction of RA has damaged the game, not Folau. If you read the Code of Conduct, religion is also mentioned on the same level as sexual orientation, but RA in its rush of blood to the head, forgot that. What they have done, and quiet Australians instinctively understand this, prioritised sexual orientation over religion, something that is not covered by their own By-Laws.
Do I agree with Rod Kafer?
Or do I agree with the likes of Nick Farr-Jones, Bob Dwyer, Topo Rodriguez & Alan Jones, among others?
Well, I mean you could form your own opinion

As usual people who quote the bible have not read it in its entirety. What about the earth being older than the sun, the earth is flat and sits on four turtles? The Church has only just recently acknowledged that Galileo was right. Last month fossils were discovered that are several million years older than the bible suggests the earth is.

Grow up Paulo. Damages is the way people are made to realise they have been stupid, like RA.

I think he is doing Australia a favour, not just RA.

Spot on Neil. Everyone should go read the CoC and then take a deep breath. My money is very much on Folau winning.

Stand corrected - Rod is an ex-employee not a current employee. Does it change his bias?
