The F3 derby gets underway again as the Newcastle Jets lock horns with the Central Coast Mariners at McDonald Jones Stadium. Follow all the action with live scores on The Roar from 7:10pm (AEST).
Newcastle played well in a 1-1 draw with Sydney to nab a rare point, but they still have just three wins for the season and are anchored to the foot of the ladder. They’ll look to play spoiler against their archrivals, who are in a horrid run of form after starting the season so strongly.

Hard to win anything with no money.

Wrong call on the penalty, but refs only have a split second to make a decision (so I can live with that). VAR, on the other hand, has ample time and multiple angles. Sigh.

No wonder the Jets were so reluctant to give Craig Deans the top job for all these years - he’s no good.

Good to see The Mariners win and hold 2nd place. What an amazing season for them and isn't it great for our A League.

Ok, all I can think here is that the ref did not make a clear and obvious error so decision upheld. But a different ref may have waved play on.
