The A-League’s fiercest rivalry writes a new chapter as Sydney FC host Melbourne Victory in the season’s third Big Blue. Don’t miss a moment with live scores here on The Roar from 7:05pm (AEST).
It has been more than two long years since Victory secured a win against their bitter rivals. Having lost their last three games, they are a solitary point ahead of last-placed Newcastle, and in danger of earning an embarrassing first ever wooden spoon.
The Sky Blues’ form has been patchy of late, though they did break a run of one win in six matches with a controversial 1-0 win over Western United on Saturday. Top spot may be out of reach, but a victory would continue to heap the pressure on the second-placed Central Coast Mariners.
Kick-off time: 7:05pm (AEST)
Venue: Netstrata Jubilee Stadium, Sydney
TV: Fox Sports 505
Live stream: Kayo Sports, Foxtel Now, Foxtel Go, MyFootball Live app
Betting: Glory $2.40, United $2.62, draw $3.60 (odds via PlayUp)

Still have Barbarousis for another year and Le Fondre for 2 more. Throw in Buhagiar, Wood and Ivanovic and they look OK.

Good to see Barbarousis score- great goal that was well set up by Ninkovic (is he 26 or 36?).

Surely there is some succession plan for sydney next season? They can't keep relying on OAPs to score

Plus the Sydney Derby is on Sunday. All clubs seem to be playing too many week night matches. Weekends definitely means bigger turnouts

All Sydney FC in the second half how much longer can Victory hold on

The crowd looks OK for a cold Wednesday night. And we ask why crowd numbers are down this year? 2 Big Blues on Wednesday nights. This could pull in 3x as many on the weekend when sport is usually played!
