Match Week 2 of the A-League Men’s competition rounds out when the Newcastle Jets travel to CommBank Stadium to tackle the Western Sydney Wanderers. Join The Roar for live scores from 6:15pm AEDT.

After something of a flat Sydney Derby last weekend, the Wanderers will be keen to add three points to their tally and prove to their fans that things are indeed going to be different this season. The potential that exists with Tomer Hemed, Dimi Petratos and Terry Antonis working up top is undoubted and the experienced defensive options Carl Robinson has should also stand the team in good stead. However, as usual, we are all waiting to see just what the Wanderers can do.

The Jets may well have lost to old foe Central Coast in the opening round, yet they were far from disgraced; working back into the game in the second half and dangerous in front of goal. A few defensive lapses would have concerned manager Arthur Papas, however Newcastle look to be a work in progress and with Daniel Penha, Olivier Boumal and Beka Mikeltadze all still getting to know each other, the best of the Jets might not be seen for a few months.
This looks a crucial early season game for both clubs, with the loser likely to be at or near the bottom of the ladder after two rounds.

There's no way WSW should have allowed this to happen. The amount of quality signed is almost embarrassing. The sooner Robinson is sent and Mark Crittenden gets his shot at the A League the better.

This was a highly entertaining fixture with both teams showing complete desire in trying to win. End to end entertainment, with some good football in between enthusiastic gaffes, but I don't think anyone left the stadium feeling they were dudded by these two teams. Plus the fact they got 4 goals to boot. Cheers jb.

Fair result, maybe WSW had the better chances but in the end a draw is good for both clubs

Jets may yet have a chance to get into the Top 6 under Pappas. Robinson still with a bit of work to do to get WSW balance right imo

Who needs sound for a football game? Not like crowd atmosphere adds to the product. Hating on P+ is the new A-League.
