Final score
Australia 6/160
India 4/161
Australia and India will face off this morning for the last semi-final spot in a do or die matchup in Mohali. Join The Roar from 1am (AEDT) for all the big hits and wickets coming from the final Super 10 match.
Both sides find themselves on four points coming into the contest after two wins and a loss, leaving them sitting precariously on the edge of elimination and qualification all at the same time.
India have won the last five international T20s between the two, including a three match series just two months ago in January.
Despite their recent history in the format against the Indians, Australia are coming into the vital fixture off the back of two convincing wins against Bangladesh and Pakistan within the last week.
Similarly, India also went down in their opening match to New Zealand, only to come back and win their next two games to give themselves a shot at the semi-finals.
The tournament hosts have had some up and down performances so far, however, their team has certainly been consistent, keeping the same XI for every game so far in the tournament as they look to use the same side this morning as they have during the whole WorldT20.
Australia on the other hand have been all over the place in terms of team structure, using 14 of their 15 man squad in their first three games.
Aaron Finch came back into the side for Australia’s last game against Pakistan and is expected to keep his spot, with much of the batting line up looking to stay the same. Nathan Coulter-Nile is under pressure though having not taken a single wicket in the first three games.
Prediction:
It’s do or die for both teams – India and Australia haven’t really looked like tournament favourites at any stage and have struggled a little with consistency, it’s a hard one to pick and a lot will depend on both sides top order getting the start they need.
With conditions suiting the home side, Australia will find it tough going to get away with the win here.
India to win by 5 wickets or 10 runs
Can India use their home crowd to fire them through to the semi-finals? Or will the Australians sneak past the hosts in an effort to win their maiden T20 championship? Find out this morning from 1am (AEDT) for all the highlights and action, only on The Roar.

Not the way the old warhorse Watto would have wanted to leave the game. He was, imho, one of our best for the tournament. Best I have seen him bowl in short format for a good while. Figured in some important run chases with his power hitting. A good hit out for his $2 mill. IPL stint. Poor bloke. Feel for him.

Faulkner was our most consistent bowler. Is arguably the best limited overs bowler in the game. The other bowlers had their moments but were too inconsistent. The biggest disappointment was our much vaunted death bowling. Zampa came of age but was underused Why pick him if you are not going to give him his allotted four overs? Out batsmen were again brought undone by spin. We seem not be be able to know when to attack or be patient against the spinners. Far too many wickets gifted with poor execution. I do believe though that we are improving on sub continental decks.

Khawaja and finch gave us the perfect start, i like maxwell but he got out just as he was set on 30 and with a few overs left, his assault could have got us 180 odd

Always had India as one of the finalist on their home soil. Sorry it was at our expense. Fact is we are not good enough at this format. Another T20 WC and another early exit. Now for an ODI fest until we the Sri lankan test tour in June/July.

Easy money will always be around with people like you. India wins this match 7 out of 10 times.

Let's be honest here. Australia were rubbish. Batting after over 4 was pathetic and the bowling in the last 5 was poo. NZ and WI will be far harder to beat

Smith (c) + Warner (vc) = 8 off 15 balls. No contribution except a loss in momentum. Australia without the contribution of the two leaders = 4/152 off 17.3 overs. Smith under-utilised Zampa (0/11 off 2 overs). This is after he had taken 5/58 against sub-continental teams in his last two games. Smith may be our best Test captain but maybe, just maybe, not our best T20 captain.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha Kohli talks more rubbish on the field than any player playing these days. If you'd ever listened to Maxwell talk he's always a humble, decent bloke. As for Warner, he still talks plenty, but he's nothing like the $mart ar&e young man he was. The old "no class" Aussie thing is old news.

They were beaten by NZ, so they are not impossible to beat.

It's just another sign of his (lancey's that is) continuing and accelerating descent into senility...

Today India proved that India is a world champion and impossible to beat. The work done by kohli and dhoni is remarkable . and thus india made in semifinals and will defiently win the worldcup. See you india smashed australia in last 10 balls... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X004MG5auTo

It's not the World Cup, it's the WorldT20.

And Dhoni, which makes you wonder why Smith chose to bat first?

Isn't he the greatest ever in the shorter format?! That final interview where Kohli acknowledged Yuvraj's effort was pure class! Bring on the Windies! P.S.- Feel a bit sad for Watson. He did everything right in this tournament.

Love watching Australia vs India. Always exciting. Kohli was incredible. Held his nerve when Yuvi was holding him back from running through the wicket then timed his charge perfectly effectively winning the game in one big over.
