Get your cricket questions in for Roar Live with special guest, Geoff Lemon

By Riordan Lee / Editor

It’s that time of the week, Roarers; after a ripping pilot last week, Roar Live is set to make its debut and we’d love for you to get involved.

We’re on the eve of the third Test, and from Mintgate to the pink ball to the wholesale clean out of the Australian team, there are enough storylines to make your head spin.

We’re here to help you make sense of it all, so hit us up with whichever questions are on your mind, like:

What was worse – that time Faf Du Plessis ate a lolly, or Lance Armstrong’s decades-long systematic doping programme?

or

What the hell is a Peter Handscomb, and why is Matthew Wade still a thing?

Any questions at all, from the deathly serious to the pointlessly frivolous, are welcome, and we’ll do our best to get to as many of them as we can.

This week, Roar expert Geoff Lemon, who has also done a fair bit of work with ABC Grandstand and the Guardian, will join our managing editor, Patrick Effeney, and myself to tear into the big issues facing cricket for half and hour on this fine Wednesday afternoon.

The festivities will kick off live at 5:30pm on our Facebook page, and we’ll have video highlights and a replay at RoarTV.

There will also be a podcast available on Soundcloud.

If you want a taste of what Roar Live is all about, be sure to check out this clip from last week’s episode, where we look at every option possible to help beat the All Blacks.

If you want to find out more about Roar Live and catch all the highlights from last week’s pilot, head over to the home page.

So what are you waiting for? Submit your questions in the comments!

The topic may be done and dusted, but only for now. Almost all the teams have admitted they shine the ball the same way Du Plessis did. But ICC is still not in a position to come out and say "ok. this may be acceptable". Because the moment they say that, it gets tricky. Players can then use that as tactic and can even strategize. One can only imagine to what extent they can go. At the same time, ICC doesn't want to downplay such acts as well. None of us want to see players cheating on the field. So my question is - "where and how can ICC draw a fine line? Do you think the treatment meted out to Faf was fair?" Thank You.

Why has Tim Paine been sent back to club cricket. I understand tassie are in favour of jake doran because of age, but how highly would you, firstly rate his keeping, secondly his batting and thirdly his batting/keeping combo in relation to Nevill, wade, whiteman

Hi guys, If Wade's keeping goes completely tits up which could well happen under lights and with the pink ball, is Hanscomb a viable option to replace him with the gloves?

Don't know guys think Faf deserves to retain the Test captaincy ? Do you still think De Villiers is the better leader despite having an inferior Test captaincy record ?

Do you think Faf will be silly enough to shine the ball with a lolly in his mouth given he thinks he is innocent

Thoughts on Kurtis Patterson? Should he have been selected over Nic Maddinson? Nathan Lyon - should he play? Would you play four quicks given it's a day-night game on a wicket likely to have plenty of grass on it, or does Lyon get another chance in a match unlikely to suit him?

After the Hobart debacle, did the Adelaide Oval Curator chop off a couple of inches of Grass to try and help get the game to a third day?

Can we leave questions here? I want Mr Lemon to answer this: why are there so many NSW players in the team? I think I'm right in saying there's 8 players from NSW, despite the state having 33% of the Australian pop. What's going on?
